Absolute highlight of my Gran Canaria holiday - I never tried scuba diving before, but I knew I wanted to give it a go, so I decided do the PADI open water course at Blue Water Diving. Prior to booking, I rang the owner, Kate, and she was incredibly helpful on the phone and patiently answered my many questions. I then booked the course online and showed up at the specified time. When I arrived, everyone was very friendly and I was directed to my instructor Eileen straight away. She went over my paperwork with me and set me and my gear up for the day. On the first day I completed one confined water dive on the Puerto Rico beach and two open water dives, about 5 min boat journey from Blue Water Diving. Despite me having no previous experience scuba diving Eileen made sure I enjoyed myself and felt very calm and relaxed the whole time. She was friendly, methodical, patient and good at explaining and going over different skills. On the second day I completed two more open water dives in the same spot and my partner who is already PADI open water diver certified was able to join me for both. Despite slightly stronger current and somewhat poorer visibility the second day was also a major success. Eileen was always right next to me during all of my dives and we were joined by other divemasters (some in training) who were all very friendly and always ready to help. I felt safe the whole time which meant I could focus on learning and enjoying the beautiful marine life. I can't sing enough praises to Eileen and the entire Blue Water Diving team. I highly recommend them and my partner and I are already looking into doing our PADI Advanced Open Water Course with them in the future! :)

Padi OWD - From the very first moment I felt truly welcomed. The staff had an engaging and positive attitude that really set the tone for the whole experience. The instructor was highly knowledgeable, very pedagogical, and had a fantastic ability to explain things in a safe and inspiring way. All in all, this made the experience of getting my OWD certification even better than I could have imagined. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic 👌 - Starting from zero experience in scuba diving, I took this course at Blue Water Diving and had an absolutely marvelous experience! I learnt so much in a few days and had some great fun dives as well. Well-trained and competent instructor, lovely crew, and a fantastic group dynamic. The instructor really sensed what I needed and gave me a lot of confidence — or, to use the instructor's own words: lovely sweetheart! Thank you so much!

Unforgettable experience - It was my first diving experience and not knowing if I liked it I agreed to do a first test for less than 90 euros. Rental of complete equipment and cylinder are included in the price. Eileen gave me a lot of confidence and made me discover a new world. So I decided to spend a few days to obtain a first PADI Oper Water patent. Erin was my instructor and had the patience and ability to make it easy. She's very good and capable. Diving has always been fun and exciting with beautiful sightings. I would like to thank all the staff for following me carefully and making me feel good, like a family. I will definitely come back to see you.

Professional and friendly; a great place to learn to dive - This course is your gateway to diving. There are a lot of exercises to complete, to prepare you in case anything goes wrong on a dive. But a real sense of achievement when you finish. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and we really liked our instructor Angela. When you sign up, the dive shop will enroll you for the official PADI online theory course, which you need to complete before you dive. Be aware that it may take you around 10 hours, so leave time for that!

Looking for a dive school in Gran Canaria? Look no further - We had the best time with the team at Blue Water... My 11 year old son and I completed the 'open water' course across 3 days. I'd looked around at the various schools and glad we went with Blue Water in Puerto Rico. Our instructor Eileen was amazing, one of those people you know loves what they do and was very reassuring, clear, knowledgeable, knew what to say, celebrated evey sucess and she is a credit to the dive school. Eileen took time to show us lots of wildlife and explain what we would be doing on each dive, so a mix of learning and fun....The wider team were fantastic and really made sure we were ready to dive and had everything we needed for it to be enjoyable. The team spoke a wide range of languages and had interns supporting from all over the world. We also hired a gopro to capture some memories.We only wish we could have stayed and had more dives however it's time to head home... my son is inspired and already planning his next dives and advanced open water when he turns 12!

Perfektes Anfänger-Training - 3 teachers accompanied me and gave me a lot of security Gilles conjured up my initial panic by making eye contact and breathing with me Incredibly, the first time I saw squid, giant rays & countless fish Thx 4 this unforgettable experience!!

Awesome - I qualified as an Advanced Open Water Diver back in 2001 with my wife so we always knew when we had our son as soon as he was old enough we wanted to give him the opportunity. Why is it important to share this? Well when you are trusting a team with your only child it has to be the right choice and a great team. The full team at Blue Water didn’t let us down in anyway they were nothing short of amazing. My son qualified for his Junior open water and we will be back in October when he turns 12 to do his Junior advanced. If you are brand new, fully qualified and really experienced or wanting to get your kids to try a lifelong skill then do not hesitate to contact Kate & Chris at Bluewater their knowledge, the team they have created and the warm welcome they give everyone is exceptional. Having been lucky enough to dive all over the world I have to say this is the best Dive club by far. Special mention to Eileen, Giles and Kate who trained and were buddies with my son. They have given him the bug (have to say I’m delighted) and he wanted me to pass on his thanks he loves you all. Steph who myself and my wife went diving with was superb and an awesome professional. Last mention (this is really bad of me) to the Scottish chap who was on holiday who took us on another dive with the Blue Water team he was excellent. Again the reason for mentioning is that he trained with Blue Water and goes back all the time to spend time with the team which just says everything. So how do I sum up the experience, 5 star you will struggle to find a better team to dive with.

Not recommemded for Diving Courses - Sadly just a bad Experience. I don't speak all for myself here. I started the Rescue Diver Course (I have the OWD and the Advanced OWD-Course, are Deep Diving Certified and have the Nitrox Certification) and my Girlfriend started the Open Water Diver Course. Anyway the Rescue Diver Course, especially Eileen the Instructor was quite Cool and Professional. But still no Questions where asked about my Experience or explenations of what the Programm will be. My girlfriend had a very bad experience, she was rushed and her Instructor was very stressed and rude to the staff. They didn't give her any good Instructions and her First Dive was way too early and rushed without proper Instruction as well, wich is absolutely irresponsible if you work with someone who took her first breath underwater for the first time about an hour ago. All in all a very bad Diving Center if you want an cool and relaxed start into the diving world.
