First, you’ll descend into a breathtaking world of cascading waterfalls, hidden trails, and rocky cliffs. Rappel down vertical drops, leap into refreshing pools, and navigate through narrow gorges, surrounded by the lush tropical rainforest.
- Arenal Rafting - After an invigorating canyoning session, it’s time to take on the untamed rivers of Costa Rica in a thrilling white water rafting adventure. Board a sturdy raft with your team and paddle through rapids that will test your skills and teamwork. Feel the rush of Rio Balsa, with a class III section of 45 minutes rapid by rapid, and a lower section of one hour to relax on easier rapids, swim tropical waters, stop for eating fruit on the river side and watch wildlife like sloths, toucans and iguanas. Experience the thrill of conquering each rapid, working together to navigate the twists and turns of the powerful currents. At the end you will be rewarded with a delicious Costa Rican lunch.

You can directly to our base of operations in La Fortuna (Arenal Rafting Company), Avenue 333, Street 460, where we have a secure park and other facilities. From this place we continue on our bus.

ABC Canyoning— Waterfall Rappelling - This tour was hands-down one of the most exciting things we did in Costa Rica. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, everything was smooth and well organized. The guides were professional, friendly, and made us feel safe and confident as we geared up to rappel down five different waterfalls. Each one was more thrilling than the last, but the 230-foot waterfall was absolutely wild — such a crazy adrenaline rush and a moment we’ll never forget!
The scenery was breathtaking, surrounded by lush rainforest and the sound of rushing water. After all the action, we were treated to a delicious local meal that completely hit the spot. This experience perfectly blended adventure, nature, and authentic Costa Rican hospitality. Side note: the hike between waterfalls was definitely intense, but it added to the adventure and was absolutely worth it for the experience and views. If you’re anywhere near La Fortuna, don’t miss this tour — it’s a must-do!

It is a must do for adventure lovers! - We had so much fun doing the tour with both canyoning and rafting. The farm was beautiful and loved seeing all the animals, as well as the ambiance and views. Canyoning was a blast, wish I would’ve bought water shoes to wear for both. The guides were awesome and Chico from the rafting clearly cares and is passionate about the work he does and keeping others safe. He was funny, informative, and a great guide! The homemade cuisine was awesome. I would absolutely recommend both!!

Great day out with family and friends - We did the canyoning and rafting combo tour. Great fun and well organised. Everything ran smoothly, the canyoning location on the farm was really nice, the Cota Rican breakfast was great. The guides made the canyoning experience fun. The handover to the rafting was also smooth. The rafting was also excellent, some challenging parts which made it exciting. Fresh fruit stop and lunch back in LA Fortuna was very good. Thanks for a great day out.

There should be more than 5 stars for this one!! - I wish there were 6 stars!
ABC canyoning was amazing. The farm was beautiful, the guides made everyone feel super comfortable and safe, and all of us had an absolute blast!! Ramon and Arturo were fabulous and so much fun. We could have done this all day - but fair warning - the further down you rappel, the further up you have to climb to get back!
My kids and Ramon made it back up and had to wait while my hubby and I gasped and crawled our way back up the mountain with Arturo.
After the workout we were excited to try a comida typica breakfast - and it didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was SO delicious - the homemade picante sauce was to die for. Coffee was amazing. The staff that prepared breakfast was super friendly and welcoming. Their rooster and cats were very friendly.
As if the morning wasn’t awesome enough we still had rafting to look forward to. We met our guide, Didier, who was a great guy who clearly loves his job and his country. He helped us navigate the class 3 rapids and our 9, 11, and 13 year olds LOVED it. He and his colleagues communicated well with each other and rescued a few ‘swimmers’ from what could have been a tough situation with ease and skill. As a physician I was so impressed by how they handled the situation and I felt completely safe in their capable hands.
Lunch afterwards was delicious and we were able to view and purchase photos of our experience.
Cannot recommend this tour enough - you will not regret it!!

A must do in Costa Rica - What a fun adrenaline filled adventure! We had the best time with Ramon and Arturo on our canyoning experience. They were full of knowledge and jokes, making our excursion full of laughs while never sacrificing safety. The tour consisted of 5 waterfall rappels with 4 being practice routes for the final big one. The entire time we felt safe and were never forced to go above our means to do anything we didn’t want to. Following the exciting rappels we were met with a delicious local home cooked meal, it was bomb! Thanks guys for showing us the way and for the fun filled adventure!

A MUST! - I had an amazing time waterfall repelling! The entire experience was thrilling and unforgettable. The guides, Roman and Arturo, were fantastic—super knowledgeable, professional, and fun to be around. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while navigating the beautiful waterfalls. The lunch provided was also a highlight—delicious traditional Costa Rican food that really hit the spot after an adventurous day. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique and exciting way to explore nature in Costa Rica!

A true jungle adventure for a family of 5 (9, 9, 11 year olds) - We are adventurers, my kids are 9, 9 and 11 - the waterfall part of this tour is a true adventure and the hike takes work, that's my only warning to others, get ready to work for it - it's worth every second. We had a small group of about 12 people in our group - we arrived at the house where you get set up for the waterfall repelling and there were kittens, baby chicks and a family setting up for our breakfast (eat something small before you go b/c they don't feed you until after!) You get to the first small waterfall quickly and then you work your way down to bigger falls. Their tour guides were phenomenal, they made us feel safe and secure, we do climb and hike often but this was totally different and my kids LOVED it.
After the last waterfall you hike back up with the group - some were struggling to get back for sure. We then ate and then headed to meet a bigger group to do the White Water Rafting. We had Osa as our guide for the first part and Axle for the rafting - we LOVED both of them. They were funny, helped with our Spanglish and educated us the whole time, the kids especially loved learning about the nature around us, we saw sloths and monkeys and the bus driver pulled over often to show us some amazing birds and creatures. The Rafting looked intimidating but there were groups of ALL ages there and we felt very safe, the guides work together to make sure everyone is safe. While this was an absolute jungle and adventure experience, it was well organized and made us feel super safe the whole time.

Amazing trip, would highly recommend - We went canyoning with ABC Canyoning, and we had an amazing experience. Our guides Ramon and Lobo, were very good at showing us the ropes and all around great. All the equipment was exactly as it should be, and we didn’t feel unsafe for even a second. It was a great time, and we would highly recommend it for anyone who’s willing to get a little down and dirty, and who likes adventure

An excellent adventure for the whole family - We loved ABC canyoning with Marcos (Double Risk “Fast and Furious 8), El Oso and Ramón. The waterfalls are amazing and a unique adventure. We have so much fun, they are amazing people.

Super fun trip! - We had an awesome time on this tour! It was actually the most fun day of our trip! We had extensive previous rock climbing experience, but that was definitely not necessary for the canyoneering. The guides made it very beginner friendly and there were several safety measures in place to make it more safe. The waterfalls were beautiful and the guides were fun (and fun-loving! Don’t be surprised if they splash you on the way down or dunk you in a pool at the bottom of the waterfall). We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast between the canyoneering and rafting. The rafting was amazing! There were many back-to-back rapids and the guides were encouraging and great at spotting wildlife. It was not too strenuous, but still a challenge. We enjoyed fresh fruit with the group partway down the river and then a traditional Casado meal once we returned to the base camp of the excursion. We would definitely recommend both activities to other travelers in search of a little adventure!
