This canyoning tour starts at a local farm near La Tigra, just 30 minutes from La Fortuna. The locals will warmly welcome you, and after the guides equip you with a harness, helmet, and gloves, we’ll take a brief 5-minute hike through dense vegetation to reach our hidden canyon. At the first training rappel, the guides will provide a safety briefing before you begin your descent down the initial 50-foot rappel. As your skills and confidence grow, you’ll tackle three more rappels, each presenting unique challenges.
You’ll descend into a stunning world of cascading waterfalls, hidden trails, and rocky cliffs. Rappel down vertical drops, leap into refreshing pools, and navigate through narrow gorges (“La Caracola”), all while being surrounded by lush tropical rainforest.
The highlight or grand finale of this tour is the “Infinity Waterfall,” a magnificent 230-foot waterfall rappel where you’ll graduate as a professional Costa Rican rappeller.
At the end, a friendly local family will treat you to the most authentic and delicious Costa Rican lunch.
