Excellent guide and tour! - This tour was AMAZING!! Yumi (my tour guide) was so knowledgeable about the area and all the temples we saw. Since no one else was on the tour it ended up being a private tour so I asked if we could ride the rikshaw around the area. It was such a fun ride and we captured WONDERFUL photos. I learned a lot about the area and had so much fun. The tofu lunch was delicious and an absolute treat! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour!!

Amazing Arashimaya - This is a real “insiders” tour. If you’re out to have a more personalized, focused experience, this tour is for you. Our guide Nobu was extremely knowledgeable, with great command of English. She was cheerful, helpful and so patient with our younger child. The tea ceremony was a nice little interlude in the middle of the tour. You will see the beautiful bamboo forest on top of beautiful temples and gardens that were gorgeous even without the full benefit of spring. Photos taken by Nobu were also superb.

Hidden gems of the beaten path - Great tour that takes you thru quiet residential areas, very private gardens, several temples in addition to the Bamboo forest, Tenryuji Zen garden and Hokyo-in temple. Josh was very knowledgeable and spent years in America making him a perfect guide for English speakers.

Fabulous tour - Fabulous tour would thoroughly recommend. Hikari was an excellent guide, so knowledgeable and went out of her way to make the tour enjoyable. Views spectacular and lunch was a wonderful experience. The gardens were so special.

A very magical tour - We were the only two people on the tour so our guide, Kana, gave us a personalized experience. We learned so much about the history of the temples, the gardens, and enjoyed walking through the Bamboo forest on the trail. It was a beautiful and peaceful tour- highly recommend!

Great day with Yumi! - We had a great time with Yumi! She has a lot of knowledge of the area, took lots of photots for us and gave us a great traditional Japanese experience.

An experience that feels like time travel to the past - This was such an amazing experience. Yumi was kind, helpful and delivered a great tour where we got to know more about Kyoto's culture and history. She was also able to answer all of our questions and was always willing to help. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn and discover unique areas.
