This exploration of the castle’s secrets provides an extraordinary journey back into the ‘golden age’ of the Polish kingdom. Post tour, you’ll be served a traditional Polish meal - soup followed by a main course. Subsequently, you will be guided to Wieliczka. Located just 10 km from Krakow, Wieliczka is home to one of Europe’s largest ancient salt mines, with a history spanning 700 years. This extensive mine plunges 340 meters deep and encompasses over 245 kilometers of corridors and passageways. The 3 km tourist trail covers more than 20 chambers, including the grand St. Kinga’s Church, a unique underground sanctuary dedicated to the mining patron. This subterranean chapel is elaborately adorned with chandeliers, carvings, and salt sculptures of saints. Inside the mine, a beneficial microclimate prevails and a sanatorium is situated 135 meters below the surface.

  • During important religious, state or jubilee events admission to the cathedral, royal tombs, or the bell tower may be suspended. In such circumstance, the Organizer reserves the right to replace the entrance to the Cathedral with another one within the castle complex.
