  • Nowa Huta Cultural Centre - The tour begins in the pass leading to the courtyard where the guide introduces the group to the subject of sightseeing - highlights the situation in Poland and Krakow, and tells about the importance of the construction of Nowa Huta next to the medieval city. Next, the group goes through the entrance hall and visits conference room 157, winding staircases, the general manager’s office with a private part, the engineer’s office, and the main control room of the plant. In each room, we get to know the characteristic elements of the equipment (rich for those times) and the purpose of the room as well as the curiosities related to it. Then, through the underground tunnel connecting the “Z” building with the “S”, we go to the second building, under which there is a bomb shelter from the late 1950s, which is the last point of the tour and completes the picture of the tension that existed during the Cold War.
