100% recommend! - They picked us up at a designated time right outside our accommodation (which wasn’t on their list of known locations) and were so friendly. We watched a documentary on the long drive to Aushwitz-Birkenau and were met with a lovely, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. The tour was long, but well-paced and reflective. I didn’t pay for the pre-made lunch and just brought my own so I have no comment about the food- snacks and drinks were allowed on the bus and were helpful for getting through the long day. Bring a jumper as it can get quite chilly on the bus and in the salt mines. The salt mines was thoroughly enjoyable with a small group going down and a friendly tour guide who made jokes personalised to each group. The drive back was short and once again we got dropped off right infront of our accommodation. 100% worth it

Day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the salt mines - Mr Shuttle was very organised and communicated excellently, keeping us updated frequently. The driver Lukasz was lovely and the mini coach was new and clean. Our lunch was nice. The tour guide for Auschwitz-Birkenau (also called Lukasz) was very professional and told the history of these tragic camps very well and compassionately. The salt mines were interesting and the tour guide there was also good. We would recommend this day and would very much recommend Mr Shuttle.

Michael was an excellent guide! - I booked a day trip quite a few months ago for visits to Auschwitz, Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Once payment was due I sorted this out through Trip Advisor and Paypal and received my ticket. In the day leading up to the trip I received text messages reminding me I needed to bring my ID for the visit to Auschwitz and also the time I would be picked up from my location. The start was quite early but as it turned out I was quite glad as it meant we had an earlier finish. I was picked up from my location at 6:10am and we collected some other people then set off on our journey to Oswiecim. On the route our guide, Michael, played us a film about the liberation of Auschwitz which was interesting and horrifying at the same time as I learnt about the atrocities that took place there. We arrived at Auschwitz at about 8am and had a toilet break and then we entered the camp. Michael told us a great deal about the history of the camp and what the different blocks were used for. We did not visit all the blocks but I got the impression we visited all the main ones including Block 10 and the crematorium. From here we went the short distance to Birkenau which was very moving. For me this was the most upsetting part of the tour but I felt it was necessary to see. Following this we went to a nearby cafe that also had a gift shop so we could by something to remember our visit including different books and guides. We had been provided with lunch as part of the tour. We had a decent amount of time here before it was back on the bus for the next part of the tour. We dropped off some people on the outskirts of Krakow who had not booked for the salt mine and soon went to our next destination. From here Michael handed us over to a guide to the salt mine and we were taken round 3 km of the underground tunnels. Inside we saw some of the sculptures created by the mine and for me the most amazing part of the tour was St Kinga's Hall which was breathtaking! Someone told me that the salt mine was worth visiting and when they first suggested it I was sceptical but I am so glad I went there. We had opportunities to get snacks and drinks underground and also to buy souvenirs here and then back on ground level as well. After this it was back to the bus and Michael drove us back to our hotels across Krakow. Although it was a little pricey I found it to be really convenient not to have to book tickets in advance and have everything sorted out. Thinking back if I had done all this under my own resources I would probably have spent that much. Michael was a really great guide who answered our questions and seemed to be fully knowledgeable on what we were shown. Please pass on my gratitude to him for making it a very educational day and keeping us all safe and well fed. MANY THANKS AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Great communication and good service - Very early pick up (5.30 am) and our transport was ready - great communication leading up to the tour which continued throughout the day - great service- great knowledge of the guides we had assigned at auschwitz and the salt mines - as everyone has said it’s a long day - but a great combo - as a tour provider Mr Shuttle offers great service and is true to their word.

Well run tour - Professionally run tour. Picked up promptly and earlier than booked due to the extreme hot weather. Comfortable mini coach with air con and friendly driver sorted everything throughout the day-getting our tickets, what time for breaks, lunch etc. Only downside was our tour guide provided by Auschwitz museum cut short our visit around Birkenau site due to the hot weather conditions, so we only saw a small part. This was apparently imposed by the museum themselves as people were fainting. However we saw other tour groups continuing around the parts we didn’t get to see.
