The HTMS Chang is the biggest wreck in Thailand, a great dive for licensed divers of all levels. The 2 coral stops we make on this trip are plenty of fish and coral, reefs around rock formations.
The Koh Rang national park area offers nice and easy diving, over quite shallow reefs with an abundance of corals. We make 3 stops here on different dive/snorkel spots.

The itinerary is dependent on weather conditions, currents and other requests.
The expedition includes two dives for certified divers, with the option to schedule a third dive on certain days. If you have a specific dive site in mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out and we’ll see if it’s possible to accommodate your request.
- Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in this certified dive
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
- Additional dives may be available for an extra fee (1000 Bht)

Bang Bao Pier
We meet in the BB divers shop before leaving by boat before 9am. We do pick up in the hotels and bring all guests to the meeting point on bang bao pier, as long as we get the hotel information latest a day before the activity

Felt really safe when a medical issue arose - We didn't get to dive because of a medical issue, but the dive team handled it super well. It later turned out to be a fairly minor stress-related episode, but it was very frightening in the moment. Our dive masters -- Charles and Markus -- knew exactly what to do and were competent and comforting, providing first aid while the boat turned around and sped back to shore.
Once we got there, the school had a wheelchair waiting at the dock and rushed us to a dockside clinic, then gave us a ride to a hospital for a further check and stayed with us until everything was resolved and we got back to our hotel.
They even gave us another ride back into town later on to consult with a doctor about diving later.
It's absolutely the kind of team you want to be with when something does go wrong -- I'd feel really safe going with BB Divers and I appreciate how good natured and warm they were about the whole issue. Strong recommend.

Amazing experience and great team! - Amazing experience with BB and particularly with Marcus, our dive leader.
We went out on 14th April, right in the middle of the busy Songkran period so they put on an extra boat to accommodate all the tourists. We were on their smaller boat, which is still a well equipped and comfortable diving boat with plenty of room for the 15ish people on board.
I was diving and my wife joined for snorkeling. Diving was Marcus, myself, and a farther and son. I was a bit nervous because I've not dived for over 10 years, and I also have a prosthetic leg so it requires some thought about how to get in/out of the water. Marcus was incredibly professional and helped me at every point. I paid an extra 1000 bht to do a refresher with him in the boat, where we sat down and went through all the theory I'd forgotten. In the water, he also gave me some time to practice certain skills, like clearing mask or retrieving regulator after it fell away from mouth. Very impressed and hope to dive with him again!
The dives were awesome - very easy and quite shallow, but lots to see. We did 2 dives and stopped at a 3rd site just for snorkeling.
My wife also had an amazing experience. She cannot swim and struggled being in the water at first. 1 of the BB team literally let her hang on to a safety ring and pulled her around the best spots at the dive site. He did this at all 3 sites, taking her all around the island and even brought fish food to attract more marine life along the way!

Amazing diving with Sebastien - Amazing experience with the BB Divers team today at the wreck of the former American destroyer HTMS Chang. Excellent visibility, the feeling of being in a huge aquarium. I recommend diving with Sébastien (Eng, Fr). I loved his professionalism, attention and kindness. The perfect instructor for a perfect dive!

Review for Day One with BB Divers: 12th February 2025 @ Koh Rang National Park (Koh Thian & Koh Laun) - 5 stars for great diving and although setting up at the dive shop was chaotic, the staff were great and handled it well. The next day was a very different story at the dive shop, but I will save that for my second review.
We (farang male and Thai female) were picked up from our hotel (Cliff Cottage: wonderful place) and taken to the dive shop. I was initially put off by the sheer number of customers in the shop, but the staff were great and handled it well. My girlfriend and I were signed up and kitted out with nil issues: I brought along my own scuba attire, but still needed BCD, fins and dive belt with weights. My Thai dive master organized everything efficiently and with a smile (again a different story the next day with farang divemaster).
We made our way to the boat: good sized seaworthy vessel with everything one needed for the day, including two toilets. Water and other refreshments were provided and the food was great.
I completed two enjoyable dives while my girlfriend tried the Discover Scuba Diving course: unfortunately, she discovered scuba diving is not for her (lol)…but I kind of knew this in advance, so I was not surprised or disappointed, I just wanted her to have the opportunity to try. Her dive master (Thai) was great and did everything to help her, so no issues there. To make up for her not being able to dive and see the marine life, I took my girlfriend to the aquarium in Bangkok: I recommend it for those who can’t dive.
It was a great day and I am sure that on most days, BB Divers are able to replicate this experience: I am certain day two was just a bad day for the shop and staff (please see my other review).
