Insight from a native - Not a lot to do in Ketchikan itself however, we enjoyed the tour because our guide Tamara was a lifelong native and shared a lot about her culture and life on the island. The tour itself is quick and overpriced for what it is but saw the local popular sights and able to visit the town town area

I highly recommend this trip…… - Our driver (Shane) was excellent. So friendly & extremely knowledgable. His local experience added so much to his stories. His mix of attention, from explaining the history, geography, wild life & dual meanings of street signs 🤷🏻‍♂️ gave an understanding of Ketchikan that I haven’t experienced with many guides in other parts of the world. Nothing was rushed, & he was so keen to satisfy what we wanted to see, hear & experience. Managed to see whales in the bay on a lovely stop at the beach. Unfortunately no bear sighting, as bit too early in the season, but trust he will find some for others another time….Totems & history lessons were fascinating. A great trip & the small party size was a bonus. Worth all the money (sooo much cheaper than cruise prices!!) & time for seeing Ketchikan from a truly local perspective. Go if you can

Fantastic, Must-Do Tour! - This tour was everything and then some of what we were expecting it to be! Shane was an incredible guide who really wanted to give the participants a glimpse into life in Ketchikan! Shane was extremely easy to talk to and ask questions about the island, as well as super knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, beaches, animals, and culture of Ketchikan. Shane was always on the lookout for animals to make sure we got to experience true Ketchikan environment. Shane provided us with ample amount of time to explore different spots we stopped at and made sure we had plenty of photo opportunities. If you’re visiting Ketchikan, this is a must do tour!

Very enjoyable - Shane was a very interesting and informative guide. We saw lots of interesting animals on the beach, a beautiful waterfall and the totem poles at the Saxman Native Village. Weren't lucky enough to see bears, but wasn't for lack of trying. We were told a lot about local life in Ketchikan. All in all a very good trip and much cheaper than excursions from the ship

Smokey - Shane our driver was very informative and we were well looked after! Unfortunately we saw no Bears and only one eagle. All the tourists spots were extremely busy and crowded. Our only issue was the Mini bus stunk of Cigarettes it was a very unpleasant 2 hours sitting in it. All our clothes are now being dry cleaned to get rid of the smell of stale smoke !
