Experience a 2.5 hour narrated historical journey on the Ketchikan 4 in 1 tour. The tour starts with the city featuring sights like Creek street (a notable historical red light district of Ketchikan) and the salmon ladder. Further along, embark on a 10-mile picturesque coastal ride to explore an area imbued with Alaskan Native heritage. You’ll visit two totem parks (Potlatch Park and Totem Bight State Park) that collectively host 2 clan houses, 5 tribal houses, and 2 carving centers. Additionally, enjoy exhibits of vintage cars, unique firearms, a historical museum, and take a stroll on the beach to inspect the tidepools. You might even spot eagles and migrating whales in the Tongass Narrows.

We meet guests in front of the Ketchikan "liquid sunshine gauge". The "liquid sunshine gauge" is located outside of the Ketchikan visitors Bureau, on berth 2 of the cruise ship dock. A representative will be there with a sign that reads "Seaside Tours ".

Ketchikan Highlights - Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared some of his experiences with us about living in Ketchikan since he was a teenager. The highlight for me was the visit to the Totem Park. Fascinating stories about many of the totems and U.S. history. Highly recommended.

Wonderful tour and guide - Shane was very informative. He was very patient as we were running late because our ship docked in a different location. He gave us a lot of interesting info. Would definitely tour thru them again. He was willing to wait for the bears to show their face as long as we were willing to wait . An earlier comment made about not price matching was with trip advisor so we cancelled thru them and booked directly as trip advisor kept playing games in requesting the same thing over and over for proof.
If going on the tour from a cruise ship just make sure it docks where he is located or you need to take the shuttle into town anlut 15 mins. and then walk about 10 mins to the meeting point. We learned the hard way but Shane was great in waiting the extra 5-10 minutes for us and another couple from another ship.

A great day in Ketchikan, even with the rain! - Shane was a great and informative guide. We had a lot of rain but it didn’t dampen the experience. We appreciated the effort to find whales, eagles, and salmon. The totem poles were a highlight.

Great tour of Ketchikan by a local tour guide! - Shane was very knowledgeable and was a great tour guide! We really appreciated his respect for the Indigenous culture which came through in all that he explained to us. He is a resident of Ketchikan and showed us some great places that the locals know.
I would recommend his tour highly!

Uninformed and missed out - Do not book this tour if you are sailing to Ketchikan with NCL. We were not informed that the meeting place for the tour is a 20 minute bus ride into town from the port and then a 1/2 mile walk. By the time we disembarked the cruise ship, took the bus to town, then made the half mile walk, the tour was long gone. We requested a refund but of course we were denied. Really disappointed to miss out on touring this stop

STAY AWAY FROM VIATOR - The local tour operator scheduled earlier departure and our cruise was very far from the pick up location. He mislead us and we lost $184.00. He wouldn’t refund our money.
He didn’t make any effort to pick up us or reschedule the tour. Most tours were 9:00 am except this man . Do not book any tours with Viator. It’s little bit more money but the Cruise takes full responsibility.
STAY AWAY FROM VIATOR. They have no control of local tour operators.

Alaska really nice.... - Alaska really nice. Unfortunately unfortunately the Van that we got on was broke it had to be jumped to start it the power steering and other noises and shaking, the driver was like going a 100 miles an hour on a really narrow road the seats there were almost falling apart it was expensive for the service that we received. We didn't do nothing on the entire excursion we were taken to the salmon Hatchery but we did not see anything at all. The driver was really rude at times, unprofessional service. Overall what we did was not worth the price. We rode up and bank down one hour wasted. 100 % do not recommend
