I took this tour while I was in Jim Thorpe. - I was going to a concert in Allentown, and I had TripAdvisor credits which I wanted to use. I looked up various tours which were located around Allentown, and this tour caught my eye. It was important to arrive early, since the city center of Jim Thorpe was extremely limited with parking, and all of the parking was metered. If somebody drove up the westbound hill of the center city, the parking was only designated for those who carried a specific permit. There was free parking further over an eastbound bridge. This tour had music to correspond with the various sites that we saw. We saw the burial site of Jim Thorpe, we saw a state park by the Lehigh River, we saw a big lake, and we saw some other major buildings of the city, which included: the jail and the theater. We also learned about the history of Jim Thorpe, himself. The mountains were very pretty, and there was some minimal fall foliage. Cassie was a great tour guide, and this tour lasted just over an hour. My tour began very punctually. I only wished that we were able to get some quick time to get off of the trolley and to briefly explore some of the sites.

Outstanding experience worth the price - Outstanding trolley tour with excellent driver/narrator. 70 minutes through east and west sides of town with stops at Jim Thorpe monument/grave, state park, lake/beach and more. Informative, friendly, and easy to hear/understand due to good sound system in trolley.

Learned many details and facts about Jim Thorpe as an Athlete - Cassie the tour guide was entertaining, energetic and informative. The music played was too loud for our liking. Another employee Kaitlyn was helpful to offer to keep an eye on my husband’s walker while we were on the tour.

Highly recommended - This is the second time I took this tour. The first time was amazing, this time was average. The difference being the tour guide. The first one gave us a mountain of facts, spoke loudly, and turned up the music loud too. The second one was very light on the info, spoke to low, and played the music too low.

Not for Everyone - Our trolley ride was full, good for the company, but you’re packed in like sardines. It was high 70s and we did a lot of stopping and just sitting with no air flow and all those ppl. Not the best. They also go over this rickety old wooden bridge and stop! I don’t like bridges and this thing doesn’t look like it would hold someone walking on it, let alone a trolley full of ppl sitting. You have to pass over this twice. I wish they would have had the route listed out and explained this prior to going.
