Trip of a lifetime - Amazing history that you read about but to see it first hand is jaw dropping and overwhelming at the same time. To walk the same steps as ancient civilizations is a remarkable experience. Our guide brought the centuries old history to life. Sorry we did not come sooner.

Guide is the best tourism company in Israel - Very disorganized and unprofessional. The guide talked mostly about how good he is, how well trained, what a great driver we had, what a great restaurant and gift shop he took us to. Yes, he covered some history, but had lost his credibility with all the BS. Very chaotic at the beginning and the end. Uncomfortable vans. Would not recommend this company.

Trip to Bethlehem and Jerusalem. - Also visited Bethlehem. We were a small group from different countries shepherded expertly by Mr. Yosef haviv. A lovely man who took fantastic care of us. His knowledge of the history of the region is unsurpassed. All in all a wonderful day in a beautiful country.

Quick and comprehensive tour of Jerusalem old city. - We were picked up on time from our Tel Aviv airport, took a small bus to Jerusalem where we walked in the magical old town where all religions were formed. The guide was excellent, offering both historic facts and colourful legends (but distinguishing them always). Even though I am not really religious the atmosphere of Jerusalem took me by surprise. Definetely a must see. For the half day tour that I partook in, return to Tel Aviv is very very easy, and cheap. Take the tram from Jaffa or Damascus gate, get off at central station and take a bus to Tel Aviv, they pass every 10 minutes or so.

Fantastic Tour of Jerusalem: special kudos to Ofir - This is a review of our trip to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv in 2016 (sorry, I wasn't a tripadvisor member at the time). [Note to moderator(s): The drop-down does not allow me to go so far back in time, so I am not sure if this review counts as relevant today as per tripadvisor policy. If so, please accept my apologies and feel free to delete my review. I do not intend this review to be construed as misleading.] We paid about $100 (I think) per head to be picked up from Hotel Leonardo City Tower in Ramat Gan. Our pick up was punctual and in a short while we were transferred to another bus with a group of tourists from different hotels who had all signed up for the same trip. Our visits to the Western Wall, the Old City, the Mount of Olives, Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the walk to these places through various 'quarters' were interesting in and of themselves, but were made much more interesting with the way our Tour Guide Ofir explained the associated history. He was patient in answering every question we put to him. While he stuck to shorter summaries where he sensed there was not much interest, he was happy to dive in deeper whenever we asked him for more information. Neither my wife nor I are historians, but we are interested in soaking up the history and culture of the places we visit - both in our native India and elsewhere. From our amateur history enthusiasts' standpoint, I was very happy with the way this tour was conducted and I would definitely look him up were I planning an outing from Tel Aviv in the future. Our lunch break was at an outlet of Ofir's choice. We *loved* the food there. Had the food been so-so or worse, I might have complained or suggested that he should have 'set us free' to choose a restaurant by dropping us all off in a street with a number of restaurants, but at least the two of us are more than happy with the way that worked out. The trip involved a substantial amount of walking. Although I do not consider myself unfit, I was happy that I was not carrying my heavy photography gear. We were only carrying my wife's pocket digicam, and except for low light situations inside places of worship, I did not strongly miss my heavier gear.

Bad guide, bad itinerary - The tour guide was a nice lady and she really tried, but her english was simply not good enough to give us anything but the most superficial information about Jerusalem. I learned nothing during the trip that I didn't already know and several things the guide said were just plain incorrect, or lost in translation. The "small group" was actually at least 15 people, and we had an old guy who constantly had to stop, slowing the group down, whose wife also made us stop the bus so she could pee, causing us to miss several of the stops of the tour. Finally, we spent 2 of our 8 hours in the holocaust museum. I wanted to see Jerusalem - there are holocaust museums in every major city IN THE WORLD, why would we spend 25% of our time inside a holocaust museum? I do not recommend this tour.

Waste of time and money - We paid for a small tour to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. First, you wait at your hotel, then after you are picked up they drive you to another place, where there are more buses and shuttles and you have to wait again till they get you into the group. 45 mins later you are finally on the way. Our guide was horrible, he did not know much, was not able to answer very basic questions, and the little he spoke, he said it wrong... We left in the middle of the tour together with a few other folks and got ourselves a real guide. When I complained to the agency, they told me that the guide can not simply know everything.... Well, he did not know ANYTHING. Just horrible. We got a random guide in Jerusalem and it was easy to feel the difference!!
