Amazing desert experience - We had an amazing experience in de desert. We loved the part of sleeping under the stars and the feeling that you are alone in the desert. Ali and his team did everything to make our experience amazing! They even brought us a cold beer. I would highly recommend to book the tour via Ali and also staying in his amazing guesthouse (Rumi’s guest house). Ali thank you so much for everything! 🙏

2-day safari under the stars - Great camel safari, at a good price, night under the stars in the middle of the dunes, and accompanied by very kind, welcoming locals. The food was excellent.

Starry night in the Thar desert - Amazing experience in the That desert with Ali. He was so professional and kind to organize a wonderful desert safari for me and my friend Tizi. Camel ride and special dinner in the dunes waiting for the sunset...we enjoyed a wonderful starry night admiring the milky way...we woke up with a beautiful sunrise and back to jaisalmer. I highly recommend Ali and his staff for such wonderful indian experience!!!!!

Amazing trip!! You must do this! - Fantastic and unique few days in the desert. Guides are friendly and cook incredible food. This is in a remote, non tourist area. You will feel like the only people in the world. You can ride camels or walk (or both). At night there is an incredible sunset, the guides make delicious dinner, and then start a campfire. There are plenty of blankets and mattresses for comfortable and warm evening. You can sleep on a mattress or on the ground u see a million stars - your choice. I highly recommend this tour for anyone - solo, families, couples, etc. must do experience in Rajasthan! I went for 3 nights and wish I could have stayed longer.

Camping with Kalu is a Good Time! - We did a three day two night camel safari with Ebrahim (he went by the name of Kalu). Ali organized everything for us and made the process easy. He had us picked up from the train station at 4:45AM and we were taken back to his hotel (Rumi’s Homestay) and even given a room to rest for an hour before we had to get up again for the tour. The safari itself involved less camel riding than we had anticipated and more time chillin out while Kalu prepared meals. It’s a lot of work for Kalu to manage the camels (we had five with us even though it was just the two of us with Kalu) and make food for us. Every meal would start with Kalu scavenging wood for a fire, then making us sweet chai tea. Lunch and dinner would consist of veggie curries or dal and chapati, all made from scratch. We camped at two different sand dune locations, both of which were remote and beautiful. The camels are great, and we came to love our motley crew of Gauri, Lalu, Ice Cream, Mama and Baby. Kalu is also hilarious, and he regularly had us laughing with impromptu safari songs or his jokes. His English is good. Not touristy. Beautiful landscapes (once you get away from the windmills). Good food. Lots of laughs. Our trip to the desert with Kalu and his camels was one of the highlights of our three week trip to India. Recommended!
