Bhangarh & Abhaneri The Best With Best Guide - We booked this tour the last minute and we were lucky to have Mr Bharat as our Guide and Mr Hari as our Driver. Both sites i.e. Bhangarh and Abhaneri has their own magical Aura and something when you are in Rajasthan you cant afford to miss. We learnt so much about the history and stories about the sites. The day was well spent and since it was a inclusive tour so we were served fantastic lunch at a local restaurant where we got some more time to learn about Rajasthan. Tip: Request for Mr Bharat as a Guide for the Tour if you wish to learn a lot about the Rajasthan.

Very impressive architecture - This is an ancient water hole ie well. Impressive architecture with thousands of steps to reach the water below. The only problem you will encounter, just like every where in India, is that there are lots of so called self promoted guides coming to talk to you ie explain the history of the place then DEMAND payment at the end. You assumed it was a friendly chap locally chatting to you but he then professed to be the guide who has provided a service by explaining the history of the site. Yes, dont talk to anyone where ever you go :)

Haunted Bhangarh and Abhaneri Stepwell - We had a wonderful morning exploring Bhangarh. It is a lovely setting with park-like grounds and many monkeys. It was not crowded so we were able to take our time and see all of the areas of this fort, including climbing to the top level for a spectacular view. We only wish that there were more signs to let us know what we were seeing and perhaps more historical information available on site. The Abhaneri stepwells are visually stunning and definitely worth the visit. Here again more information about the history (plaques, signs, etc.) would have added to our enjoyment. We were especially interested in the various stone carvings that had been removed or had fallen from the facade of the building. Our driver suggested a road-side restaurant for lunch. On our own, we probably would not have stopped here. We were glad we did--some of the best Indian food we had on our trip for very little money. Great working with Unseen India. I highly recommend them!
