No other provider presents a raft as riveting as our 14-foot self-bailing ones. We start our voyage at West Table and conclude at Sheep Gulch in the Snake River Canyon, comprising 8 miles of Class II and III whitewater, tranquil intervals, and swimming chances. Excursions take around 3 to 4 hours round-trip from our office at 180 Powderhorn Ln. Personalized Rafts Available, get in touch to reserve.

  • PLEASE ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO TRIP TIME TO ALLOW TIME TO CHECK-IN
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • WHAT TO WEAR: We provide a splash jacket to every customer free upon arrival at the launch site on our whitewater trips. The best clothes are ones that dry quickly. A bathing suit is usually the best way to start. Synthetic shorts or trunks and a light polyesteror other synthetic shirt are fine for warm days. Cool days require a bit more preparation. Always avoid heavy cotton clothing like jeans or sweat pants and sweatshirts. Cotton is extremely absorbent and will soak up all that river water, making you wet and cold. Synthetic clothing such as polar fleece, rash guards, exercise wear, thermal underwear, nylon jog pants, tights and polypro are your best choices when the weather is cooler and are all better choices than cotton. For maximum comfort on cooler days, a wetsuit may be the best choice. They’re available for rent at our office. Secure shoes are required for all trips. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Sneakers are fine and sandals are good on warmer days, but they must have a heel strap and stay on if you had to go for a swim. (no flip-flops or Crocs!) Neoprene booties are available for rent as well. We also recommend that you bring along some dry clothes to leave on the bus. They’ll be waiting for you there when you get off the river.
  • Short Trail walk after the trip from river take out to transport vehicle
  • ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TO CHECK IN. your trip time is the time our bus departs if you arrive late you my miss your trip.

White Water on Snake River in June is a must do! - This was our 3rd white water trip as a family and it was the best one yet! We are not experts. But the rapids were exciting and fun. izac was our boat guy and he was hysterical! If you can get him it will be fun. But honestly they all seemed great The Snake River was so high—-so that made our trip super fast and fun. The company was organized from start to finish. Would highly recommend getting the wet suits if going in June-water is COLD. We got them and it was worth the $30/person to get them. Arrive early to fill in paperwork and get the wetsuit on.

Awesome - Guide made the trip as exciting as water provided. I left wet and thrilled with the adventure. In May it was COLD and the outfitters fit us with wet suits that helped with the cold temps

Great activity! - What a fun time! We went in early May so the water was still pretty cold, but L&C had wetsuits available for us with all the extras! On our 8-mile trip, we saw bald eagles, marmots, and even a couple of river otters. Our guide, Ben, was extremely knowledgeable and so much fun to raft with. 10/10 - we would absolutely do it again.

Exciting and beautiful! - The Snake river and Gavin, our guide, gave us a fun ride! The crystal clear and wide river with dozens of Cat 2,3 rapids is awesome. We spotted at least 5 bald eagles and an osprey diving in to snag a fish! Gavin ran the boat like the pro he is and we all had a great time!

Fantastic experience - A fantastic experience. Great combination of fun and challenging rapids for every level but easy to get something you haven't seen. Great views and a great guide. Everybody was helpful from start to finish!

We had a blast! - We did the small boat whitewater experience and had a blast. Starting with the super helpful Lydia at sign in, we got on the bus and headed out for a short drive to the river entry point. Our bus driver Nancy was a hoot and kept us thoroughly entertained coming and going. Our river guide was Luke and he obviously had been guiding for a long time. Luke was super positive and upbeat in spite of the two morons paddling at the very front who were unable to follow the most basic instructions. We only had one Class III rapid but it was a good one, we all got soaked multiple times during the float which made for even more fun. Highly recommend this outfitter!

My experience - Lewis and Clark Raft Company is first class. Viator is difficult to work with. Has poor communication. Uses overseas customer agents difficult to understand and lack ability to assist with problems

Shake River Views and Easy Fun - A group of four between the ages of 57-72, we very much enjoyed our September afternoon riding the Snake River with our guide Carson and two other visitors. There is a school bus ride to the drop-off area driven by a nice helpful guy named Robert. We were soaked but had a great time and the River is just gorgeous. By the end we were cold and worn out from laughing thru the Rapids. The ramp to exit the river is very slippery and a couple of us fell so take extra care. The long steep walk back way p to the bus was more difficult due yo being very cold. Wet, tired, stiff from being bunched up in the raft and no doubt the high altitude, bring a towel or a dry sweatshirt for the ride home. The bathrooms were closed by our visit in mid September but the office have good ones before you leave and return. I would definitely recommend this company and activity.
