Excellent - Chichen Itza was closed, so Polo took me out to Ek Balam, another impressive ruins site. In fact the whole day was a day of education, and camaraderie with Polo, his wife Karen and my self. It started as being one of the only tours willing to have a solo traveler on it. And polo brought his wife to make it more comfortable. She was also good at attempting to speak Spanish with. Polo, was great at explaining the history and the various local areas. Over all he tailored the day to my likes and showed me parts of the Yucatan that I would not have seen on my own...Thank you Polo.

Polo G is your guide - Polo G is the man the myth and the legend. He kept us safe, well fed, and always laughing. His knowledge is extensive and there was never a full moment. He made our entire experience in Mexico unforgettable. Polo let us take our time and was sure to take us to the local gems for food. We never stopped learning along the way. He doesn’t leave anything out. I’ve never done so much in two days. Thanks Polo G!!!

100% recommended - We had a great time touring Yucatán with Polo. He took me and my brother to various places around Mérida, tailoring our experience to what we felt like. He took us to Chichén Itzá, two cenotes, Valladolid and Izamal all in one day. Time was never an issue and he let us enjoy each location as long as we liked. Seeing so many things involved a lot of travel time in the car, and there was never a dull moment as we talked with Polo about every topic imaginable. I couldn’t recommend his services more if you’re looking to cover lots of ground and have a comfortable and great time seeing what Yucatan has to offer.

BEST tour guide ever! - I don’t know if I can adequately express how fortunate my parents and I were to book Polo for a private tour. This was the best part of our trip to Mexico and we couldn’t have had a better guide to take care of us. I’ve traveled a lot and hands down, Polo beats out the competition, not only in Mexico but also other countries I’ve visited. While the tour has a specified itinerary, he took the time to get to know us, our needs and interests, and then made recommendations based off that, so he was flexible in what we did. He was very informative, gracious, and personable the whole day. He genuinely cares about providing a quality experience and I will never consider hiring anyone else if I ever make it back to see more of this amazing country. Polo, I wish you a life filled with prosperity, peace and happiness!

Tour provider (Yucatan Excursions) never showed up - Our provider never showed up, never notified us of cancellation, and did not respond to inquiry messages, or request for phone call via what's app. I would avoid this provider. We did call Viator, who was somewhat helpful, and said they would investigate for a refund, but that is yet to be determined whether it will pan out. All in all, pretty disappointing.

Where’s My Refund? A Viator Special - I am waiting for my refund!!! Local tour operator didn’t respond to phone, email or show up. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. The only thing that salvaged the experience was that I was able to rebook the trip with another, reliable company…

DO NOT BOOK - No Show - Booked this tour for Nov 4, 2021. They did not show up, did not respond to email, and the phone number provided was disconnected. We lost a chunk of our morning in Merida before just hiring a taxi. On closer examination, there are some posts indicating that the tour operator is deceased and/or this company is out of business. The booking was cancelled and a refund was issued relatively quickly. However, tours by this operator Yucatan Excursions should probably be verified or removed from Tripadvisor/Viator to save customers stress and wasted time.
