Corinth Canal - The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships.

Outstanding! - Hello Viator Team,
I wanted to take a moment to share my wonderful experience during the Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplio full day private tour from Athens. Everything about the tour was absolutely delightful and exceeded my expectations.
From the breathtaking ancient ruins of Corinth to the fascinating archaeological sites in Mycenae, every stop was a magnificent journey through history. The knowledgeable guide provided insightful commentary and made the experience even more enriching.
Epidaurus captivated me with its impressive ancient theater, and Nafplio charmed me with its picturesque streets and stunning views. The entire day was perfectly organized, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the beauty and history of these incredible destinations.

Best private day tour I’ve had in a long time! - This was the best travel experience I have had a long time.
I was assigned Nick as my driver for the full day tour. Nick was the consummate professional - having an advance discussion to set expectations on how the day would progress and confirming if the schedule was acceptable. As we arrived at each location Nick conveyed where my tour would begin, what to expect, where he would be located to continue on to the next destination and the time it should take to complete the visit - always acknowledging he was available for additional support if needed and to underscore the tour was always safe.
At the conclusion of each stop he would engage in a conversation on my comments and if it meet expectations.
I would not hesitate to book this trip with Nick.
This was, hands down, a great full-day tour experience because you were not crammed in with other tourists with mixed capabilities and you could take a nap knowing Nick had your back and you were not going to miss anything. In fact, he recommended a gelato retail store that was highly recommended by TripAdvisor.

Great overview of the... - Great overview of the Peloponnesus peninsula. Panos was very knowledgeable and friendly. We even saw a couple things not listed in the description. The tour operator was very accommodating of our schedule and made it easy to switch around the schedule. Nafplio was a great addition to the trip, and a place I never would have thought to go but absolutely loved. This was a great way to spend the day.

Memorable! - The views from the Mycenaean Acropolis are stunning, and the museum’s exhibition of local artifacts is incredible. Nafplio is completely charming, and the restaurant experience is also outstanding. Our driver George took excellent care of us throughout the day.

Luxurious and Fun! - Michael was our driver, one of the best drivers I've ever been in a vehicle with, and he was an excellent, excellent chauffeur. We were picked up at our doorstep and taken right back there again after our 10-hour long tour.
The list of stops for this tour: Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplio, does not tell the whole story of our tour at all.
Because it was just us, we got to hang out at the attractions for as long or short an amount of time as we wanted. Sweet! And it's really nice being dropped off at the entrance o an attraction, then picked up at the exit.
The canal stop was short and sweet, but the amphitheater was a long one. Again, our choice. We just texted him when we were ready to leave.
Michael was great conversation too, answering all our questions and telling us lots of history along the way. My brain was full by the end of it.
One last thing, Michael had the good sense to engage us when we wanted, and he was quiet when it was obvious we just wanted to soak in the atmosphere.
It was a pretty quiet ride from about halfway back to Athens because two of our group feel asleep in the back seat.
This tour felt absolutely luxurious.

Amazing views - Great time sites were amazing , one thing would be nice to know the schedule a little better. Last site we barely got to see as we ran out of time and wish we had more time there. Fantastic lunch. Tour guide great.

The tour to take! - This is the very best tour I could find for this part of the country. I know it is more expensive, but it is worth the money. You will cover 3200 years of history with hands-on experience. My guide was not just courteous and did everything possible to show me what I wanted to see (which was simply everything), but was very knowledgeable and even added an unexpected additional sightseeing stop at the end of the tour. I can only recommend it!

Excellent day well spent. - Very wise driver with Greek History and lots of good conversation on the drive. Made us feel welcome, safe and like a friend. The food was excellent and it was a highlight of our trip. Konstantinos Mom even called the car and she has been a tour guide for over 40 years thanks Vicki for information!!!
