Istanbul tour - Great private tour. We did it at our leisure and enjoyed every moment. Thanks to Murat who arranged the tour and was exactly as described. Our tour guide Idyll was outstanding. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this company, tour guide and private tour.

Excellent experience - We were fortunate to be dealing with Saw Travel first for transportation from Airport to Hotel. Then Mr. Murat proposed at the time of booking transportation to put together a guided tour. I agreed for a two days tour. The guide he selected was extremely good to the point I called him a “walking encyclopedia!”. On the second day there was an inconvenience from the heat. Mr. Murat agreed to reschedule the second day tour to the following day. The first day guide was already booked so he had us going with another guide who was also extremely knowledgeable. The second day had a private car included. Rating Saw travel 5 stars is an understatement!

Private Istanbul historic tour - We had a very comprehensive tour with Omar of the sights in the historic city center. Omar is very knowledgeable about the city and its history, and as we were a private tour, we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. You might ask to start earlier in the day as the lines of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque tend to be quite long. If you are not interested in purchasing a rug, tell him to skip that stop, but if you are interested, it is a very high quality store, and the loom demonstration is interesting. Omar will stay with you as long as you need- we ran out of steam before he did!!

Old city tour - They met us at the airport and brought us to our hotel with a VIP vehicle. Then we toured with our guide. It was a very nice tour. Thank you to Mr. Murat.

Excellent Istanbul Tour, Very Professional Guide - We, a family of 4 from the USA, are very pleased with the private guided tour of Istanbul, mainly the Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace offered by SAW Travels, Istanbul. Our English-speaking tour guide Can was very informative about Turkish history overall and provided contextual background relevant with the places we visited. For us, it was important that someone explained the details in language that we understand and provide us with the context of their civilization from his perspective. Can did that job expertly and therefore I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Can. The tour & the guide was private for only 4 of us, and not a big crowd. That’s how it was very personal, we could ask any questions. We only had 5 hours to cover as many areas as possible, so we visited Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Our tour started in the Sulthanahmet District and Hippodrome. Can provided us history of the hippodrome where in the Roman Empire times Chariots races were held. We also saw the Egyptian Colum from the Byzantine Empire as well as the German Fountain. We were then able to get quick entry to Blue Mosque which was built by Sultan Ahmet in the Ottoman Empire. It was truly a magnificent masterpiece of architecture with its sheer scale as well as beautiful stained-glass windows. Can also explained the religious significance of the mosque with some details about Islam prayer rituals. We then walked around a bit in the Tulip Garden and took some pictures before heading over to the Hagia Sophia. This was also a marvelous structure both outside and inside. Can gave us details about the Ottoman Empire conquest resulting in the church being converted to mosque and eventually into a museum. Many of the beautiful mosaics inside were plastered / painted over however there were couple of areas where we were able to see Mary, Jesus and other paintings on the ceilings and walls. We then walked over to Topkapi Palace which was not only the residence of Ottoman Sultans but also had a Harem where female members of the Sultans family lived along with widows from the war. There were many courtyards and rooms along with key meeting rooms like Imperial council building. We also visited the museum which displayed empire treasures and other historic artifacts including a large diamond from the Ottoman Empire. Overall, we really enjoyed the city tour and the places we were able to cover and appreciated the depth of history that Can shared with us. The tour pickup from our hotel and drop-off were seamless and the transport vehicle was comfortable. By the way, SAW Travels provided us with an excellent service of private luxury transfer from Istanbul Airport to Hotel. The main coordinator Murat in their office is very professional, understanding and accommodative. They also offer other tours like cruise tour of Bosphorus and tours/airport transfers in other Türkiye cities like Cappadocia.

Great experience! - Murat recommended us to visit the old city of Istanbul. He arranged a tour guide to take us around. Our guide Eren took us around Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and the old city of Istanbul. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interested. We had a great time with our guide. I definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to visit Istanbul.

Amazing tour! - Such an amazing tour learning the history is Istanbul being in a 1,694 year old city there was so much to learn and i was so happy to have our very knowledgeable tour guide by our side.

Best Customized Transportation Arrangement We Had! - This was the best transportation arrangement we had in all our travels. We had different needs on different days and Murat accommodated all our needs flawlessly. They put a detailed proposal together for each day and regularly communicated with us. We were given a big van with driver and it was in excellent condition. Their flexibility to adjust timings when needed was awesome! The best part was that we were given a dedicated driver, Adnan Eser, who was fabulous! Very professional, came with us for shopping in Bursa and helped us immensely and was great company! We felt very safe with his driving too. We will certainly use them again and recommend them to our friends.

One day in Istanbul - The company and drivers we nice and professional. The guide knew all the important historical facts and was very helpful in taking pictures. I was a little disappointed by the high cost to get into all the sites, but probably my fault for not researching enough. $60/person to get into the palace is more expensive than any historical site I’ve ever been to and I’ve travelled a lot.
