A great introduction to Istanbul - Kadir was an excellent guide who took me to the Spice Markets for a taste of Turkish Delight and tea. We then took the ferry to Kadikoy on the Asian side and sampled various delicious savoury foods. Kadir was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who gave me a good insight into Istanbul.

Eat like a local says it all - This food tour was fantastic. Our guide Kadir was local to the area & was extremely knowledgeable, interesting & had a great sense of humour. The food selection was typical Turkish everyday favourites. Everything was delicious including the sweets. The tour felt personally tailored to us as Kadir was an expert at gauging our personalities & interests. It felt like going for a walk with a friend. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend 'Eat Like a Local' Tour...Great fun and delicious! - We had an absolutely fabulous guide, Emel. She was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and made sure all our needs were met during our tours with her. The food tour was so much fun and really interesting. Emel took us to places that we wouldn't of thought of to eat. We had some delicious culinary delights. It was super fun, and she was the perfect host. It was very relaxed and easy. No awkward moments as this can be the case when you are eating with people you don't know. Emel was like an instant friend that you haven't seen for ages. We thoroughly enjoyed her company. We highly recommend hiring Emel as your guide. She took great care of us and considered all our needs. Thank you Emel for making our 'Eat Like a Local' tour so great!

Brilliant tour - varied, fun and tasty! - Such a lovely tour. We crossed the Bosphorus on the ferry and went through all the wee foodie streets, tasting local things. Our guide was so good - such a nice lady. Fun, bubbly and very knowledgeable.

A wonderful tour! - We had a great experience walking around the European and Asian sides of the city with Yusuf. He was an excellent host. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always open to answering our questions. We went to many different establishments and tried SO MUCH food. Yusuf was able to easily accommodate one of our group being a vegetarian. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a great way to learn our way around parts of the city and to be more comfortable dining out during the rest of our trip.

Spice Market/Anatolia food tasting trip - We had a fantastic time with Yusuf. Having a highly knowledgeable and genial tour guide ensured that our experience of Istanbul and its many culinary delights was highly enjoyable and memorable. There were many highlights during the trip. We loved the experience of crossing the Bosporus on the ferry to Anatolia where we were treated to many new food experiences, carefully chosen and explained along the way. We would highly recommend this tour.

Eating Like a Local with a Fabulous Guide - Yusuf was an excellent guide. He showed us around and explained the diverse cuisine available in Turkiye. We booked him very early and he kept in touch throughout and was on time for our tour. We explored a little bit of the European side, having Turkish coffee for the first time. We then travelled to the Asian side of Istanbul and Yusuf explained the area and allowed us to sample many foods eaten by the locals. It was a great way to see Istanbul and see areas we probably wouldn't have ventured too. We highly recommend Yusuf for a food or history tour.

Fabulous food tour! - Yusuf was very friendly and arranged our tour to suit our desires. We enjoyed a diverse selection of sweet and savory bites at various locations on both sides of Istanbul. We walked, rode the tram and funicular, and ferried across the Marmara sea. We explored areas of the city we wouldn’t have seen otherwise and learned about the rich history of Turkey and its food.

The deliciousness of Istanbul - A lovely food tour of the wonders of everything Istanbul has to offer through food. Started at the Spice Bazaar tasting and trying beautiful spices, baklava, teas, and turkish delights. Then took a ferry to Kadikoy to try Mezze, visit one of the oldest pickle shops in Istanbul, try lahmancun, tantuni, and finished off with beautiful baklava and coffee. Fatih was amazing, very knowledgeable, patient and happy to adapt the tour to whatever you like to enjoy most. Also, wants to ensure that you have the best experience, so if there's something you'd rather try or learn, he'll adapt and work with you to find the best thing that works. Very enjoyable experience, all of the food was wonderful and I'm very grateful for being able to eat and drink everything and left at the end of all of the tastings feeling very full and content!
Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, and are happy to walk. It's a lot of walking and wandering, but definitely worth it for all the wonderful food and history of deliciousness that Istanbul/Turkey has to offer.
