Hanoi - Cao Bang - Quang Uyen (L/D)

Quang Uyen - The guide will meet the group at the hotel at 8:00 AM to begin the journey north to Cao Bang, which takes approximately 5 hours via the scenic pass roads through Lang Son. Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM at a local restaurant in Cao Bang city. Afterward, the group will trek from Cun stream, passing through fields and valleys to reach Phia Thap incense village, known for its traditional handicrafts by the Nung ethnic minority. The night will be spent in a stilt house within the village, enjoying dinner with the Nung ethnic group.

Trekking in Quang Uyen (B/L/D)

Cao Bang - After breakfast, the exploration of Cao Bang’s traditional craft villages begins. The first stop is Phia Thap village, renowned for its century-old incense-making tradition by the Nung community. The journey continues through fields to a village known for its unique yin and yang tile-making. The next destination is Phuc Sen forging village, where the group will observe the knife-forging process. The tour also includes a visit to the Nung ethnic group’s knitting village. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed before visiting the Nung’s paper-making village. The day concludes with a return to the traditional Nung house in the incense village for dinner.

Quang Uyen - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Ba Be National Park (B/L/D)

Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls - After breakfast, the group will continue the journey from Quang Uyen to Ban Gioc waterfall, traversing fields and hills. The stunning Ban Gioc waterfall, spanning over 300 meters and straddling the border between Vietnam and China, offers a perfect setting for photography and relaxation. Following the waterfall visit, the group will explore Nguom Ngao Cave, a remarkable natural wonder with 2,144 meters of underground passages filled with stalactites and stalagmites.

Ba Be National Park - After lunch at a local restaurant, the group will return to Cao Bang town and travel down the “snake pass” to Ba Be Lake. Here, they will stay overnight in a traditional Tay-style homestay operated by a local Tay family, enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal and unwinding from the day’s adventures.

Ba Be trek - Tham Phay cave expedition (B/L/D)

Ba Be National Park - After breakfast at the homestay, a thirty-minute drive will lead to Tham Phay Cave. The hike begins with a steep ascent into the forest, followed by a rocky terrain and a descent into the valley. With guidance from the guide and safety team, the group will navigate a large rock patch to reach the cave’s entrance. Snacks will be provided before the cave exploration begins.

Ba Be National Park - Tham Phay Cave, a stunning river cave with two underground river tributaries, offers narrow passages, rugged mountains, and deep pools ideal for photography. The cave is adorned with calcite formations covered in plants and algae. As the group ventures deeper, they will encounter unique features like the ceiling dome and layered rock walls. The exploration of this 5km deep river cave, yet to be fully discovered by geologists, will last about five hours. Necessary equipment, including helmets and powerful headlights, will be provided. The cave expands significantly beyond the entrance, offering excellent photo opportunities.

Ba Be National Park - After enjoying snacks, the group will explore the second path of the cave system, featuring ancient stalagmites, hazardous sinkholes, and thermal flows. Upon leaving Tham Phay, the group will return to the cave entrance and head back to Mr. Linh’s homestay.

Ba Be Lake Kayaking - boat tour to Puong cave – Hanoi (B/L/D)

Ba Be National Park - Following breakfast, the final day of the tour begins with a boat trip to Puong Cave. Participants can choose to relax and enjoy the views or swim in the refreshing waters. Kayaking and swimming are available. The scenery includes breathtaking karst formations covered in wild vegetation and rich wildlife. Lunch will be served at Mr. Linh’s homestay before returning to Hanoi. By 5:30 PM, the group will arrive in Hanoi, marking the end of the tour and bidding farewell to the guide and driver.
