Our chauffeur will arrive to collect you from the hotel lobby. Please ensure you are prepared with a hat and sunscreen.
Our destination is Cam Thanh Village, previously a fishing hub and refuge for locals and Viet Cong amid wartime. Upon reaching the village, the inhabitants will assist you in boarding a coracle, otherwise known as a basket boat, for an amusing 60-minute ride.
This outing offers you the opportunity to:
- Ride in the town’s most distinctive vehicle, the basket boat.
- Check out the fishing village in Water Coconut Palm, and try your hand at trapping crabs alongside local fishers.
- Master the art of maneuvering the Vietnamese bamboo basket boat. Discover the peaceful coconut palm-lined waterway harkening back to the war era.
We will then return to dry land and transport you back to your hotel. This concludes our tour.

Fun times - Loved our guide the owner. Growing his business through learning English is an inspiring story. Picked up on time from our hotel, invited into his home with a drink on arrival, ride was excellent and fun , small family business rather than large tourist chaos. Highly recommend

Not to be missed - The vibe with all the other boats, the energy of the guides and the boatmen is really good. Our tour operator was very warm, well spoken and made us feel welcome. This is an experience not to be missed.

Transport not good - Tour got off to a bad start when company sent a car that stank of cigarettes and our whole family ended up smelling of said tobacco as they couldn’t change the car
Coconut boatswere ok but pretty basic.
I keep promising myself I won’t use Viator again but I was I did and once again I was disappointed.Betreexto do your homework and book locally rather than using these 3rd party sites

Tourist Traps - It feels like a bad version of Disney Land. Really ridiculous! The whole thing is a tourist trap!!! Very disappointing. I guess all Tours are Tourist Traps. There is nothing to learn and nothing authentic, it's all just about taking money out from your pocket. So sad 😢
