Overlooking The Sight of Armageddon - Carmel means "Vineyard of Wines" & this place overlooks vineyards & fish hatcheries & a magnificent valley..... ....what can be said about the prophecies in the book of Revelation? You will be looking out over the valley where this battle will take place...Megiddo Truly an unbelievable sight to behold.... The day our tour group of 40 was there, the Israeli Air Force were flying sorties in their F-16's from Ramit David Air Force Base (Hebrew for Heights of David). That was incredible to see & here. The place also has very pretty gardens.

Appolonia Visit - Not every visitor who comes by car has an electronic direction finder or WAZE, and in our case we tried to follow the road signs and we spent a long time trying to find the site. First we had to discover it was after turning off the south-bound coastal arterial road, the north-bound direction was not sign-posted. Then the smaller or minor roads leading to Appolonia had no signs at all and our map was not very helpful. It took some large degree of exploration to get there, but it was worth it!. The views at this site were absolutely wonderful as was the breezes from the sea. The site was of great interest and the information about it very well expressed and most useful. The paths were excellent and most useful for wheel-chairs too.
