Outstanding in every way. - Simply one of the best guided experiences I have had, ever. The landscapes, views, activities and local knowledge were amazing and the off-roading parts just took it to another level. Thank you Hilmar for connecting our group of 8 people to the natural, raw beauty of Iceland. Thank you Sigga for helping us to coordinate and supporting us along the way.

Great Experience! - This tour is a most! We had a great experience from beginning to end! Communication was excellent. The tour operator reached out to make sure we had located our tour guide, Hordur. Can't say enough great things about Hordur! He customized the tour to meet our needs and comfort and is very knowledgeable! Wonderful experience with some great laughs. He took us to some amazing sites that we would not have seen had we not chosen his tour with the use of an off road vehicle. The super jeep was very comfortable and cool! I definitely recommend this tour! Wonderful experience! Hordur truly cared and was a lot of fun to be with!

Ask for Oskar - The scenery was breathtaking and I am so grateful that we had a chance to take a hike and have lunch at a beautiful wooded spot with lots of redwing visiting us. The river crossings were fun and Stakkholtsgja beautiful. Visiting Gigajokull gives you a real sent of the power of the 2010 eruption. Or guide Oskar was so knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciated having his local insight into life in Iceland and it was obvious how much he loves the land.

Adventure - Wonderful! Well prepared person, I drove the double jeep super well! With mtoooo knowledge of the place! In fact, I loved to know a little about the Highlads of Iceland!

Amazing tour - The tour was very fun and interesting. Our tour guide Thor was very friendly and could tell us fun facts about iceland during the tour. During the tour we first had a quat tour and then with the super jeep along Golden Circle. We got enough time at each stop which was very nice.

Awesome Thorsmork - This tour is a must do when in Iceland. The views are incredible, the hikes are easy to do, and you will get beautiful pictures. Our guide Einar was very thoughtful and a very good driver, knew the terrain, answered all our questions. My kids loved it, my wife and I loved it. Highly recommend.

A great visit to the Valley of Thor with Thor! - We had a wonderful tour with Thor to the Valley of Thor on a beautifully sunny day. We had rented a Tesla to drive around Iceland, so it was pretty awesome to be able to go off the beaten track in the super jeep. We got to see beautiful views of glaciers, had a lovely little picnic and a hike in Thormsmork and ended our day with a visit to the Stakkholtsgjá Canyon and the beautiful waterfall that can be found at the end of the canyon.
Thor was our guide and he was both informative and funny. My 10-year old loved listening to his stories and he made all of us feel comfortable right away.
A few other (hopefully helpful) details:
1) Lunch was not included. There's a little place in Thormsmork where I think you can stop to get soup and bread (I think?) but we ended up picking up sandwiches and snacks at Kronan the night before and brought our own food with us. There are bathrooms at Thormsmork.
2) We had a 10 year old and a 1.5 year old. We transferred the car seat from our regular car to the super jeep for the baby.
3) This Private Super Jeep Tour was included as part of the self-drive tour package that we had Activity Iceland plan for us. There doesn't seem to be a place to write a review for that, but I would strongly recommend Anna and Activity Iceland for planning visits!

An amazing experience. - Absolutely superb experience. My kids (and we) loved it. Our guide was super friendly and happy to chat about all sorts - not just the area we were visiting, but the truck we were in & how they're built, the history of Iceland, some of the Icelandic culture, etc.
A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a day.

Friendly and Knowledgeable Guide on Private Tour of Thorsmark Area - Day trip to Thosrmark area for private tour, leaving from Hella not Reykjavik. Our guide was excellent--friendly and very knowledgeable not just about the area, but other questions we had about Iceland. The vehicle was very comfortable (more comfortable than the SUV we were renting). There were some large tour groups on one of the hikes, but being on a private tour our guide was able to navigate around them. Highly recommend if you want a more personalized visit at your own pace.
