Setting Sail from Hanoi

After leaving my finance job in Seoul to explore Southeast Asia, I found myself in Hanoi, eager to experience the renowned Pando Cruise that promised a two-day exploration of Halong and Lan Ha Bay. As the sun began to set, we returned to the cruise for a sunset party. The sky was painted in hues of orange and pink, providing the perfect backdrop for photos and relaxation. Dinner was a delightful affair, with a variety of dishes that catered to both seafood lovers and vegetarians. The evening ended with a fun squid fishing activity, a first for many of us, and a chance to bond over shared laughter and stories.

A Morning to Remember

Waking up to the serene landscape of Lan Ha Bay was a magical experience. With a cup of coffee in hand, I watched the morning light dance across the water, feeling grateful for the opportunity to witness such beauty. After breakfast, we set out to explore the Dark and Light caves, either by kayak or bamboo boat.

The caves were a marvel, with their intricate formations and the play of light creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Paddling through these natural wonders was both exhilarating and humbling, a reminder of the incredible diversity of landscapes that Southeast Asia has to offer.

As the cruise made its way back to Tuan Chau Island, I took a moment to reflect on the journey.
