A Splash of Serenity at Llanos de Cortes
As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours chasing the perfect wave, but every now and then, I crave a different kind of water adventure. That’s what led me to the Llanos de Cortes Waterfall in the heart of Guanacaste Province. The journey began with the sound of cascading water growing louder as I made my way through the lush tropical forest. The sight that greeted me was nothing short of magical—a crystal-clear waterfall tumbling over moss-covered rocks into a serene pool below.
I couldn’t resist the call of the cool waters, and soon found myself taking a refreshing dip, surrounded by the symphony of nature. The sandy shores provided the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun, a welcome change from the salty embrace of the ocean. The true highlight, however, was the visit to the Jungle Life Sloth Sanctuary. Getting up close to these gentle creatures was a dream come true. It was evident how much the sanctuary cares for these animals, and I left with a newfound appreciation for these endearing creatures.
