Great experience - Tarsem, his wife and family warmly welcomed us into their home from the moment we arrived and we were given a traditional lassi drink. We were then treated to a delicious lunch before trying a local headdress and then having a tractor tour around the village. We met multiple members of the village who were all friendly and despite a language barrier wanted to engage with us. It was interesting seeing the crops and trying the traditional Indian games. To our absolute delight we were also able to have a go at driving the tractor. Once we returned to Tarsem’s home his wife made us some pakoras and chia masala which were very tasty. This was a great experience, it was good to get an insight into village life and was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would recommend.

Best village tour in Amritsar - If you ever visit Amritsar do not miss this highly recommended village tour. The booking process is easy and the place is very near to the city. Once you reach you are given a warm welcome by Mr. Tarsem Singh. A beautiful walk across the fields, will set the tone for the remaining tour. A warm welcome at home with some lip-smacking Lassi and pakode made herself by Jasmeet Singh wife of Tarsem Singh. A much awaited tractor tour across the fields where you can yourself drive the tractor if you wish to. A game of gulli danda will surely take you back to your childhood. Upon returning home you are served by delicious village food. The hospitality is amazing and the village house is neat and clean. You have stay options also. The rooms were well maintained and had all the required amenities. A must visit place for a beautiful village life experience.

An Amazing Experience with a Great family in their Village. - Tarsem and Jasmeet hosted my wife and I on January 27th. Since we were early, Tarsem took us for a walking tour of the surrounding farms and dairy milk collection centre. This was a great experience and we learnt a lot. We appreciated Tarsem's time and patience for this valuable experience. Jasmeet made us all fresh lassi, pakoras, chai and a fabulous vegetarian lunch, which we enjoyed thoroughly. Tarsem showed me how to wear a turban and I wore mine proudly for the rest of the morning. We enjoyed the ride in the tractor and learned from Tarsem, the challenges and importance of the farming industry in the Punjab. I highly recommend this tour and I highly recommend Tarsem Singh and Jasmeet Kaur. No visit to Amritsar is complete without a visit to their lovely home. Thank you for making us a part of your family for those amazing 4 hours. The pictures and videos that I took will forever remind me of how wonderful the experience was.

A Glimpse into Authentic Punjabi Village Life at Gharowal Village - From the bustling streets of Amritsar, a mere 30-minute drive transported my family and me into the heart of Punjab's countryside - a serene village named Gharowal. Despite being Punjabi by heritage, my wife, two-year-old child, and I have primarily lived city lives. Yearning for a genuine experience of farm life in Punjab, we stumbled upon a hidden gem recommended by a local cab driver. Upon contacting the place via Google, Tarsem Singh, the owner, warmly described what awaited us. Our late evening arrival did nothing to dampen the spirits of Tarsem Singh's family, who greeted us with open arms into their traditional Punjabi home. This wasn't just any house, but a centuries-old dwelling featuring a classic courtyard and an imposing tree, offering a slice of history and tradition. The hospitality we received was nothing short of remarkable. From the multi-generational welcome committee to the delicious, freshly prepared dinner under the stars, every detail was thoughtfully curated to appeal to all senses - the aroma of incense, the soothing background of Punjabi music, and the visually pleasing traditional decor. Our room was comfortable, complete with complimentary fruits and snacks, showcasing the unparalleled Punjabi hospitality. The highlight of our stay, however, was the village tour led by Tarsem Singh on his vintage tractor. It offered us a vivid picture of village life, from meeting village elders at the panchayat to exploring ancient travelers' rooms and marveling at the lush Punjab farms. A surprise awaited us in a nearby field - traditional games like Gili Danda, tree climbing, and more, creating a playful and bonding experience for my son and us with other visitors and locals. Our experience at Gharowal Village, guided by Tarsem Singh and his family, was more than just a stay; it was a deep dive into the heart of Punjabi culture and hospitality. This venture, born from Tarsem's transition from a hotel driver to a full-time host, is a testament to his passion and dedication. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Whether for a day trip or an overnight stay, Tarsem Singh's home in Gharowal Village offers an authentic and unforgettable glimpse into the soul of Punjab. A big thumbs up for an experience that feels like family, wrapped in the warmth of genuine hospitality and rich traditions.

A very relaxing day - This excursion takes you into the countryside away from the busy city. A chance to relax and decompress. Be prepared for unscheduled stops if Tarsem bumps into an old friend he wants to introduce you to. We laughed a lot with Tarsem, his grandad, his brother, his wife and their other guests. It was lovely to spend a day with the family.

Punjabi Countryside Experience - We enjoyed everything from the welcome drink lassi, to the pagoda snack, to the final lunch. Indian food is often too spicy for me, but everything we had here was just the right amount of flavor and very tasty. Travelers from other regions sang karaoke for us, we all put on turbans and took lots of photos, and we had a great time. Compared to the busyness of the city, we felt like we had a little too much time on our hands, but that's all part of the countryside experience.
