Golden Circle and Northern Lights - We had an absolutely brilliant time with Heimir and I suggest you look no further when picking a tour guide for your Iceland trips. We did both a Northern Lights and Golden Circle Tour with Heimir and I wish I had realised in advance that I could have contacted him and asked for custom tours too as we would have loved to do the south coast with him too! If we come back for a summer trip we will be in contact! Heimir is a really nice guy, incredibly friendly and he was brilliant with our children - they got great tips as to other places to visit close to our hotel. He was prompt with his pick up time, his mini van was really comfortable and warm. We started the golden circle day before most bigger tours got going so we beat the crowds to each location. Heimir was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of tips to get the most out of each stop. We would not have got as much out of the trip if we were in a big bus tour or travelling alone. The northern lights part of the trip was amazing. We were booked for a Tuesday night but the forecast was looking amazing the day before and Heimir contacted us to ask if we wanted to change - we jumped at the chance and I am so pleased we did. The hot chocolate and Icelandic snacks were delicious, and we were very grateful for the comfy seats that Heimir set up for us to watch the light show. We loved that we were set up in a remote spot with no other tour groups around us. The pictures taken by Heimir were great too and meant we finally had a family shot! We were well wrapped up in our own warm clothes but others look advantage of the suits provided by Heimir and said they were game changers!

Highly Recommend This Tour! - My husband, I, and three adult children went on this tour last week. Heimir accommodated a scheduling mistake I made, which he did not have to do. He also made sure that I could maximize each of the stops even though I couldn’t walk the longer distances, which the rest of my family walked. The bus and group were small so that he was able to get to know everyone. The tomato farm was really interesting and the food was great! He was knowledgeable, considerate, and laid out a great trip. He got to each stop before the main bus crowds, so that we were able to get close to each of the sites. He provided great pictures afterwards of our travels.

Excellent day trip. - Easy to arrange this trip and Heimer was very flexible arranging pick up. Everything was excellent, but really enjoyed the secret lagoon. Tomato farm was also really good and we all enjoyed the great food and tomato beer!

The best experience - Heimir was extremely knowledgeable, very personable and answered all questions in an understandable way. He was accommodating for individuals and went out of his way to be helpful. I highly recommend this tour with Heimir (Aurora Experts Iceland). This was truly the high point of my trip. Would highly recommend the Golden Circle trip! - We booked the Golden circle trip for two people and got to experience a very personal trip with a guide that was very friendly and took good care of us! The main reason we decided to book this trip with this company is that we liked that they offer a small group guarantee! It makes it more enjoyable! The guide took a lot of photos of us that were included in the price which we thought was an extra bonus! Apart from the beautiful scenery that Iceland has to offer - The Secret lagoon was amazing and the Tomato farm was a very cozy and inviting place! Highly recommend this trip to everyone!!

Highly recommend it - It was a great experience. Hemir was a great guide. He took loads of pictures for us. All the stops on the trip were amazing. We really liked the stop a Fontana spa where we got to experience fresh baked rye bread, baked in the ground. It was a beautiful day and Hemir really made us feel at home.

Nixe Golden Circle tour - Great small group trip around the Golden Circle hot spots with a few extras! Really enjoyed the stop at the Secret Lagoon. Heimir waslovely and very accommodating.

beware of last minute cancellation - We booked this tour and it was cancelled last minute. Even though they said they tried to contact me I had no calls or messages and I tried calling and emailing them and they said they didn’t get mine, which is odd. Could be a Viator error but even cancelling one day before the tour would have been too late. They refunded us but we still ended up having to spend hundreds of dollars more to get similar experiences booked last minute. It all worked out in the end, but it just cost us so much more money than we ever planned to spend since it was cancelled so late. I think they should make a decision 2 days before at the very least, since it’s so hard to rebook and if your schedule is full you have sont have much time to figure it out. If you have a tighter schedule, I would recommend going with a more reliable tour that’s guaranteed to go or cancels with more time to find something new and budget for it.

Tour canceled with no notice - Beware - tour operator canceled our tour with less than 24 hours notice. We were left to scramble with great difficulty to find a replacement and no help offered.

Never showed up - The operator of this tour never showed up! We received a message the day before departure at noon, saying that they had a problem with the restaurant reservation and if we could move the tour to the next day. I replied at 4pm that it was not possible as our cruise was leaving. Never heard anything more. Went down to the parking and waited for 1.5 hours trying to message and call the operator with no response. It was 47 Fahrenheit outside, and traveling with my 75 yo mother. No one ever called, or responded to our messages. Even after it was obvious that they weren't coming, they didn't even send an apology. Horrible experience! And now I have to wait 72 hours for a refund...
