• Durban - Guests will be picked up from their accommodation in Durban between 7:00 and 8:00 am, and we will embark on a scenic 1-hour journey to Natal Lion Park near Pietermaritzburg. The route is renowned for its lush sugar cane fields and stunning landscapes. The tour guide/driver will provide engaging stories and insights about the region. There will be an optional stop for restrooms and refreshments along the way.
• Natal Lion Park - Upon arrival at Natal Lion Park, we will drive into the Lion’s enclosure to observe a pride of Lions. [Please ensure vehicle doors are locked and windows remain closed at all times while inside the Lion’s enclosure. Photos can be taken, but only through the closed vehicle windows.]
• African Bird of Prey Sanctuary - Next, we visit the African Raptor Centre to see Eagles, Hawks, Owls, and Falcons. [Please avoid standing too close to the fence, especially near the Vultures.] The African Bird of Prey Sanctuary boasts the largest collection of indigenous raptors in southern Africa.
• Tala Private Game Reserve - Our journey continues to Tala Private Game Reserve for a Malaria-free Safari. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy an exhilarating Game Drive in an open 4x4 Game Truck. We will encounter 380 bird species and animals such as kudu, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, eland, zebra, and rhino. Tala spans 3000 hectares of acacia thornveld, open grassland, and sensitive wetland, offering a quick way to see free-roaming animals.

• Phezulu Safari Park - The tour concludes with a visit to PheZulu Safari Park, located in the Valley of 1000 Hills. Guests will explore a traditional homestead of thatched huts, where a local guide will explain various artifacts, beliefs, and rituals. This is a unique chance to experience Zulu culture through singing, dancing, and performances by the world-famous Gasa clan at PheZulu village, dressed in traditional attire. Feel the rhythm of the African Drumbeat as you dance on African soil under the vast skies. After the Zulu Village experience, we will walk through the Reptile Park to see Crocodiles and Snakes. Discover fascinating facts about different species like the Nile crocodile, Green Mamba, Puff Adder, and Egyptian Cobra. After this unforgettable full-day excursion, we will return to Durban, with guests being dropped off at their accommodation between 17:00 and 17:30 pm.
