- Maidens’ Cove - Capture the essence of your Cape Town journey with stunning photos at Maidens’ Cove. This spot offers panoramic views of Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, Camps Bay Beach, Clifton, and the Twelve Apostles Mountain range. Keep an eye out for dolphins, whales, and seals. This breathtaking stop is sure to leave a lasting impression.
- Hout Bay Beach - No Cape of Good Hope or Cape Point, also known as Cape Peninsula Private Tour, is complete without a visit to this fishing harbor. Enjoy the best fish and chips, either dine-in or take away. Explore one of the largest souvenir and gift markets, where you can negotiate prices. The highlight is a boat trip to the Seal Island Colony, home to thousands of Cape Fur Seals. Avoid the boat trip if the sea is rough unless you’re comfortable with sea conditions.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Experience one of the world’s most scenic routes. A photo opportunity stop is included, with a brief guided walk of about 5 minutes. Please remain within the designated safe walking areas.
- Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room - For wine enthusiasts, a visit to Cape Point Vineyard is a must on a Cape of Good Hope tour. Sample some of South Africa’s finest white cultivars, including Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, while enjoying spectacular mountain and ocean views. A quick wine tasting stop is highly recommended. This optional stop costs ZAR 50 per adult, allowing you to taste up to six different wines.
- Just Nuisance - The next stop is Simon’s Town, home to the South African Navy and the legendary Great Dane, Just Nuisance. This dog was the only one officially enlisted in the Royal Navy, serving at HMS Afrikander from 1939 to 1944. He was buried with full military honors in 1944 at the age of seven.
Consider having lunch in the area, with options ranging from takeaways to sit-down restaurants. Alternatively, enjoy lunch at Boulders Beach, Black Marlin (Seafood), or the Cape of Good Hope.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Visit the renowned Boulders Beach, home to approximately 2,500 pairs of endangered African penguins. Weather permitting, guests can swim with the penguins for an entrance fee of ZAR 120 per adult. Remember to bring swimwear and towels if you plan to swim.
Boulders Beach, near Simon’s Town, is sheltered by ancient granite boulders, making it ideal for swimming, especially for children and families. The City of Cape Town maintains the beach’s cleanliness and safety, as it is part of the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area. The beach is not usually crowded, and children enjoy exploring the rock pools. The soft white sand and warm waters attract many visitors, but the main draw is the African penguins, making Boulders Beach one of South Africa’s largest penguin colonies.
- Cape of Good Hope - This tour highlight offers spectacular sightseeing as you enter a national park. The Cape of Good Hope is a rocky headland on the Atlantic coast of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. Contrary to popular belief, it is not the southern tip of Africa, nor the dividing point between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It is where the cold Benguela and warm Agulhas currents meet. Capture souvenir photos behind the famous Cape of Good Hope wooden board. An optional 40-minute hike from the Cape of Good Hope to the lighthouse is available. Your guide will accompany you halfway and meet you on the other side. The lighthouse is accessible via the Dutchman Funicular at a cost of ZAR 80 per adult and ZAR 40 per child for a return trip. Alternatively, a 20-minute hike from the lower to the upper station of the historic lighthouse is possible.
- Cape Point Nature Reserve - Within the reserve, your knowledgeable tour guide will explore historic sites such as the Vasco Da Gama Cross or Pradao and the Dias Cross or Pradao, providing detailed historical explanations. The tour includes drives to various areas to spot wildlife like Bontebok, Baboons, Ostriches, Giraffes, Eland, and Tortoises.
- Scarborough Beach - The return journey to Cape Town takes you along the scenic route through Scarborough, Misty Cliffs, Kommetjie, Long Beach, and Noordhoek. Guests can choose between Muizenberg or the newer route of Ou Kaapse Weg (Old Cape Road), passing the notorious maximum-security Pollsmoor Prison, where Nelson Mandela spent part of his 27-year incarceration. Drive through Constantia with an optional stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, time permitting, at your own expense.
- Cape Town Central - The final stop is to drop you off at any hotel, guest house, or other address in Cape Town and surrounding areas.
