San Sebastian is renowned for its stunning beaches, but the verdant nature encapsulating the city remains an underrated gem. The St. James’s Way (Camino de Santiago) trail that winds through the city, family-friendly to boot, epitomizes this.
Join us on a hiking adventure to San Pedro (known as Pasaia in the Basque language), a quaint yet charming fishing village that is a feast for the eyes. Traverse Mt. Ulia, with spectacular lookout points offering vistas of San Sebastian and the Pasaia Bay, inclusive of the Mt. Ulia’s lighthouse. Delectable local pintxos are offered as a means of energy replenishment! Rest assured, we’ve got the transportation for the return journey covered. Upon conclusion of our hike, a car will be ready to ferry us back to San Sebastian.
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Water and raincoat (depending on the weather) are recommended
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Hike is not suitable for all ages and conditions: elderly people and pregnant women should consider alternative routes (inform us before before taking the hike)
- Some areas can be slippery, so guests are advised to wear non-slip shoes
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required. If a booking for less people is made a confirmation message from the tour operator will be required to confirm the tour.

Challenging, Rewarding and Inspiring! - My wife and I brought her 74 year old father on this hike. We were concerned about this as many of the reviews indicated that it could be strenuous (particularly the first hour or so of step climbing (my watch said we did 75 flights!). He found the hike to be challenging (as we all did) but also very rewarding. The guide (and other two guests) was very accommodating. She (Begonia) worked in many stops and took the opportunity to tell us about the details of the trail, pilgrims, local culture and history. The views were amazing! We highly recommend this tour and this guide!

Great hike, great guide - Begonia, our guide, was lovely in every way-patient, a problem solver, good conversationalist, knowledgeable, and had a life long true love of the area. We had a terrific time with her. It misted a bit and rained at the end and we still had a ball. I absolutely recommend this experience.

Scenic and serene walk on St James Way - Begonia was a fantastic guide and we all absolutely loved our walking tour. We really enjoyed the walk and the scenery and learned so much about the history and culture. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the walk and would very highly recommend it as a fantastic thing to do on a visit to San Sebastián.

San Sebastian hike - I have always wanted to do a part of the camino de Santiago walk. And this is a moderately easy 3-4 hrs hike. Do apply sunscreen, bring hat and walking stick

Walking a piece of the Camino - Great views from this 3 hr hike from San Sebastián to San Pedro. Mateo was an energetic and fun guide. It was a bit more uphill than advertised but it was a wonderful roughly 6 mile hike. Recommend wearing hiking boots rather than regular athletic shoes.

Connect to Nature - Usoa was very knowledgeable and accomodating. The start of the walk is the most challenging section but well worth the stairs. It was pleasant in the forest and an escape from the city.

Nice Morning Hike - This was a nice hike from Gros. You can easily navigate the hike yourself but having a guide was helpful for getting back at the end. And, having a guide for us was most beneficial because it was raining non stop and a bit cool outside. If we did not have the tour it would have been easy to stay in bed! But, we had the tour- in the rain- and that actually made it more rememberable. The hike all in all is a non strenuous hike (a bit up hill at first but not crazy) then meanders through the woods with gorgeous water views.
