Delhi Agra Jaipur - Thought to share my latest travel experience with the group… Trip & places covered- One week trip of Golden Triangle- covering Delhi , Agra, Jaipur ( along with Mathura and Vrindavan ). Day one - in the train - Secunderabad- Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express. Day two - Rajdhani was one & half hours late 🙁…checked in Four Points by Sheraton. Evening- India gate & surroundings, Jantar Mantar, drive through the power corridors of India. Dinner - Bhape Da Dhaba at Connaught Place. (Mouth watering Dal Makhni, Sag Mutton, Kaleja Curry etc😋). Day three - KidZania at Noida (a must visit place for children of approximately 4 to 14 years- they will get exposure / basic theoretical and practical training of 60+ professions like- Doctor, police, fire fighters, pizza making, pilots, musician, stock broker, Radio Jockey, intelligence / secret service agent- just everything. This is a globally present children’s amusement park, in India they are present only in Delhi & Mumbai). Afternoon- Rajghat, Gandhi museum, Red Fort. Shopping- Chandni Chowk. Dinner - parathewala galli. Day four- Kutub Minar, Humayun tomb, Lotus Temple. Shopping- Sarojini Nagar market. Dinner- Dilli Hut. Day five - started as early as 5 am. Mathura- Krishna janmabhomi. Brindavan- Banke Bihari Temple, Nidhivan, Prem Mandir. Had local food - local delicacies- Kachori, Peda, Dahi Bhalla, Lassi. Lunch @ Brijbasi. Next stop - checked in Courtyard, Agra by late afternoon. Late afternoon to evening- dedicated for visiting Taj Mahal. Dinner- Pinch of Spice. Day Six - Visited Fatehpur Sikri in the morning. Fatehpur Sikri can be described as an epic Sufi poem in red sandstone. It is a saga of a city - Fatehpur, a saint - Salim Chisti and an emperor- Akbar ….. fascinating history of medieval India. Afternoon- checked in Jaipur Marriott Hotel. Evening- Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar & City Palace. Dinner - Chowki Dhani ( a must visit place if you are in Jaipur… multiple activities and complete exposure to Rajasthani culture & food). Day seven- Albert Hall Museum, Amber Fort, Jalmahal, Nahargarh Fort (excellent view of whole Jaipur). Shopping- Bapu Bazar. Food - Lassi at Lassiwala in MI road. Evening- direct indigo flight from Jaipur to Hyderabad, reaching home by 9.30 pm (Yesterday). Local transportation for full 7 days - Rented Honda Amaze costing around 29000. Hotel- all 4 star and 5 star Marriott properties- excellent service and no complaints as expected from Marriott. Caution - These cities are still very hot in the day time. Need to carry lots of water. Overall we had a fantastic trip . We loved sweet spoken people of northern India, lovely food & glorious monuments.
