4 days Singalila National Park (Sandakphu) - We did a 4-day trek in Singalila National Park with our guide Rupesh, and we enjoyed it immensely. The trip was relatively tough (especially for us flatlanders from the Netherlands), but the stunning landscape and views of the snow-covered mountains made it all worthwhile! What made the experience truly special were the overnight stays in small homestays in local villages. This gave us a unique insight into daily life in the region, which we deeply appreciated. During the trek, it was my birthday—a day I will never forget! They surprised me with a birthday cake and singing, all beautifully organized by the company and our guide, Rupesh. Thank you, Rupesh, for your company and the care you showed us during these four unforgettable days. We recommend Ashmita Trek & Tours if you’re planning to go trekking. The information provided before the start was clear and thorough, and everything was perfectly arranged during the trek.

Wonderful trek on the Sundakphu Singalila ridge witnessing mesmerising views - Right from the enquiry stage till the completion of the trek, there was a professional touch in the manner in which the Ashmita team handled things. The trek route starting from Rimbeek and passing through Gurdum, Sandakphu, Phalut, Gorkhey and Timburey provided merserising views. One tends to get a flavour of the local cuisine and their lifestyle. Ensure you are attired appropriately for the trek and also to handle the temperature at night. Shorts and dry fit are approriate for the trek during the day. One would need a full set of warm wear for the night viz., gloves, cap, socks, pant with warm lining and puffer jacket. The trek huts at Sandak phu and Aahl and trekkers and tourists visiting Sandakphu and Aahl need to be mindful of their handling of trash. Throwing trash around ruins the otherwise pristine and sensitive environment.

Singalila Trek was a fantastic experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our Singalila Trek from the 4th-9th November with our guide Tenzi. Tenzi was helpful, kind, attentive and supportive of us on the Trek - he was truly outstanding. Although the Trek is challenging from a physical point of view regular breaks helped us to keep going. The scenery along the Ridge was stunning (as was the weather) and continued very interesting as we walked from village to village. We had a private room with attached toilet at each accommodation, which were sometimes rather basic but clean. We'd suggest bringing your own sleeping bag and small pillow with, although duvets and blankets are provided. The food throughout the Trek was delicious, much much better than we were expecting! We also greatly benefited from the company of two other people from the UK who we met on our trek and their very knowledgeable guide Pemba also from Ashmita. For us this trip was a great experience that exceeded our expectations. We felt Ashmita Trek and Tours was very professional throughout and would definitely recommend them.

Amazing 6-days trek on the Sandakphu Singalila Ridge - We had an amazing trek on the Sandakphu Singalila Ridge. This well-planned six-day trek encompassed all the elements of nature, local food, a bit of sweat, altitude gain, stunning mountains, breathtaking sunrises, and cozy, basic homestays. Our guide from Ashmita Trek and Tours, Rupesh, played a significant role in making this trek the best trekking experience we could have asked for. We could truly feel how welcomed and well-liked Rupesh was every time we stopped for lunch or an overnight stay. Rupesh knows the route and terrain inside and out, and he knows exactly when to take breaks. We felt safe and in capable hands throughout the entire journey. And before the trek, we felt well taken care of by Mr. Subash from Ashmita Trek and Tours, who patiently answered all our questions and arranged both airport transfers and a horse to transport our luggage from place to place. We would definitely recommend this trek to anyone looking for a moderately challenging physical adventure. It’s an unforgettable experience that combines beautiful landscapes with the warmth of local culture, and we can’t wait to return!

Wonderful trek and experience. - Great expérience from end to end. Easy booking, response to questions before we travelled, organising transfer from airport, etc. Trek it self was amazing. Do need to remember, Himalayas is world's biggest mountain range and the valleys are very steep sided and deep, more so than anywhere in Europe. So walking on "flat" days is up and down and both up and down can be pretty steep. We are 60ish, and reasonably fit and were fine. Accommodation in homestays was very good, they are best described as small guest houses. They were clean, comfortable, with private toilets and bowls of hot water when needed. Food was also really good, noodles, dhal, rice and curries. Popcorn and garlic soup for the altitude - who knew! Lastly we had a great guide, Pemba. Very knowldegelabe, encouraging when needed, and good company. He was terrific. I should say something about the route too. It's very varied, thick jungle like forest, to open scubby heights. The views of Kanchenjunga were amazing when it appeared from the clouds, truly awe inspiring. Sadly due to late Sept rains, there was more cloud early October than usual so we didn't get to see Everest and other peaks. Nevertheless it was a fabulous trek and I highly recommend it. Last thing, trekking hut at Phalut is very basic, well below std elsewhere. Apparently it's getting and upgrade,... and needs it.

Perfect trekking to see Himalayan mountains - I joined a 4-days and 3-night trek to Sandakphu. I joined the trek because of its ambitious itinerary to see Mt Everest and Kanchenjunga from the peak of Sandakphu (3,636m) as well as traverse its mountain ridges from Thokum valley to Molley and Rammam. Since it was my real trekking experience, I was worried about my physical strength. However, the trekking guide managed and led the tour thoughtfully, and I could complete the itinerary. The view of Kanchenjunga was amazing. It was a truly priceless experience. I think Ashmita is one of the best in India because of its planning skills. I was stay at family-owned lodges throughout the itinerary: water supply, electricity charging, delicious meals and clean beds.

6 day Singalila ridge trek by Ashmita trek and tours - The 6 day trek was amazing. The views and the route at the different altitudes were mesmerising. The inputs provided by our guide Pemba on the 100 mile Himalayan run which on at the time and other such events which take place, the speciality of the cuisine, the practices that are followed by the people at the different locations we passed through, the vegetation, flowers like Rhododendrons, Iris and birds made the trek enjoyable. The weather did play traunt at times and it may be a good idea to factor in a buffer for the vagaries of the weather. The trekker shed along the route which served as our night halt, lunch or tea stops were located at scenic spots. The trekker shed at SandakPhu and Aahl need to be mindful of the handling of trash. Overall a wonderful experience backed by the professional approach of Ashmita and the experience of guide Pemba.
