  • Damajagua - The excursion commences at the newly constructed visitor center, where you can indulge in authentic Dominican cuisine and refreshments at our al fresco dining area, surrounded by stunning mountainous scenery. Following the collection of footwear, safety equipment, and flotation devices, the adventure begins. This attraction provides a full day of trekking through dense woodlands, traversing pedestrian bridges, and encountering a variety of plant life, leading up to a stony summit. From there, you’ll descend by leaping or sliding down a sequence of cascades! The ascent involves climbing to the seventh waterfall, after which you’ll make your way back down by jumping, swimming, and gliding down natural water slides. Additional Information

You should do this tour if you love adventure. Puerto Plata with its charms invites you to experience the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua (27 Charcos), discovered just a few years ago and submerged in the beautiful hills of the northern mountain range, this natural monument is part of the system of protected areas of the Dominican Republic.

27 Waterfalls is hidden up in a tropical canyon is a string of waterfalls that you can hike to and slide down, swim under, and jump off on your way back down. You’ll head up with a tour guide who will help make sure you’re jumping off of safe spots, might explain some of the history of these gorgeous falls, some of which have ancient legends stemming back from the Taino Indians who first discovered this gem, and from my experience will just make the adventure even more fun.

Adventure in the DR!! - Wow! What an adventure! Two adults and 4 teenagers absolutely loved this activity. We were picked up promptly from our cruise terminal, comfortably shuttled to the National Park and took off to jump and slide down 7 falls. Sammy was a wonderful host, giving info about DR and providing happy hospitality all the way. The buffet was an added treat after working up an appetite. Expect an adrenaline rush!

Professional and reliable - We ended up using Edwin tours for 3 separate tours they were so good! We did the Damajanga Falls, Puerto Plata city tour and UTV buggies. They were very professional, spoke great English and we're very punctual. First day Edwin picked us up at our resort 9am right on-time. Nice air conditioned van and he will let you keep your stuff locked in van while you're doing the falls. They stay with you for the entire experience. Had lunch and then they drove us to a small cigar Outpost and back to the resort. The second day they picked us up at 9am right on-time and this time we had Jose as our guide. We toured a rum factory, a chocolate factory, San Filipe fort and then walked downtown Puerto Plata and he even let us stop for an authentic lunch on the way back! Awesome time! The third day they picked us up at 9am right on time and drove us right to the UTV/buggy place near our resort. We had an absolute blast!! I can't recommend Edwin Tours enough they really made our vacation nice and relaxed and so much fun!!!!!! I wished I had known they did airport transfers because I would have used them! Next time we're on the Dominican we're booking everything through Edwin Tours!!

Highly recommend; tour was great and Sammie and team were engaging - Great excursion and chance to experience the falls and Dominican culture. The entire trip was well planned and organized. There were 100's of visitors this day, but the team was super efficient. The climb up was good exercise and the 7 falls (jump, slide, climb) were exhilarating. The guides were knowledgeable and safe. Meal served afterward was outstanding and authentic. Stop at a local market for cigars, chocolate and jewelry was great. Sammie and his team did an outstanding job!

BEST around no joke - We were visiting from a port stop on the RC cruise and the RC was booked (thank goodness) we booked through Edwin Tours and WOW! Sammi our guide (familia for the day) was the absolute best. Our driver (sorry can’t remember name) was also the best. He stayed at van to ensure our belongings were safe while on adventure. He also was a great driver, my husband drives a large truck for a living and he loved commenting on other driver skills (eye roll lol) but he was impressed. The best part of this tour other than the amazing informational tour on way there that was also fun, was that they felt like family. They provided some of the best food I have ever had after the waterfall. They stopped at an amazing cigar place where we learned about how they make coco. FYI you must buy some coco chocolate it’s so good! I will absolutely use Edwin Tours for anything I want to do while in DR because I’m telling you it’s so worth it. FYI- we met a couple who paid through RC they didn’t get the additional lunch and tour and paid more than we did. It was safe! Definitely get good hiking water shoes for the waterfalls it’s worth it. They pick you up right outside port, bring you back on time and give you waters plus food!
