Ascending to the Skylodge

The thrill of adventure called me once again, and this time it was the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco that beckoned. The promise of spending a night in a hanging capsule, 400 meters above the ground, was too enticing to resist. As we arrived at the base of the mountain in Pachar, the anticipation was palpable. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Milky Way emerged, a dazzling display of stars that seemed close enough to touch.

Dinner was a gourmet affair, a delightful surprise at such an altitude. We savored fine wine and exquisite cuisine, our senses heightened by the thin mountain air and the spectacular views. The night was spent in awe, lying in our beds and gazing at the cosmos. It was a moment of connection with the universe, a reminder of our place in the grand scheme of things.

The Descent: Rappelling and Ziplining

The next morning, the adventure continued with a descent that was as thrilling as the climb. We rappelled down 100 meters, the rush of adrenaline a familiar and welcome sensation. The via ferrata led us to a series of six ziplines, each one offering a unique perspective of the valley below.

The wind whipped past as I soared through the air, the landscape a blur of greens and browns. It was a fitting end to an unforgettable adventure, a final burst of excitement before returning to the ground. As we made our way back to Cusco, the memories of the Skylodge lingered, a testament to the power of adventure and the allure of the unknown.
