Exceptional for a first time Malta visitor - Excelente tour. Julia was very good. If tis this is your first time in Malta this is a good starting point to learn about the history behind the island, the reason for the 3 cities and have a good idea of what to do when and if you go back. We were there on a cruise and after having visited Greek prior to Malta, the island visited where not at all what I expected. So Malta to the lead and kept it throughout.

The Three Cities were... - The Three Cities were fantastic — full of history, great views, and beautiful architecture. We really enjoyed the sights. The downside was the logistics: our bus was about 45 minutes late and there was too much waiting around at the boat pickup and drop-off. Overall, worth it for the destinations, but the organization could be improved.

Better communication required - The highlights were the walking tour around Birgu and the boat ride around the harbour, both of which were enjoyable, however there was no guide on the boat trip, so nothing about the harbour was explained. Re-reading the information makes me realise I had mis-read it initially and believed it was a small group tour due to being a minibus pick up. This is not the case, the minibuses take people to a central location where you are divided into language groups with an appropriate guide. Our group was 40-50 people, so you are following a person holding a flag. This was not explained to us, and we had to work it out. A bit of explanation on joining the minibus would have been much appreciated. The 'panoramic drive past' of the first city is done in the minibus, and the driver did not give any commentary at all as it was prior to meeting the guide. This should therefore not really be considered part of the tour. There is a lot of walking, which did not bother us but others on the group really struggled which meant we went at the speed of the slowest, and the last hour was boring, just trying to get a large group of varying mobility back to the minibus pick up point. Senglea really didn't have much to talk about, and did not add anything to the tour.

Much in a very short time - They didn't live up to expectations. Half a day left in just three hours. Perhaps the feast of San Lorenzo marred the visit.

Valletta -Three Cities Tour - Donna was a knowledgeable historian and a patient guide. The entire tour was very disorganized, started 30 minutes late. The transportation between cities and to our hotel was chaotic. The group was too large (30+) for one guide. And most importantly, there were VERY limited places to stop for restrooms on a 5 1/2 hour tour (including transportation time). Would not recommend!
