Perfect Guide in Chennai - 他の方も書いていますが、ガイドのRajeshさんはとても優しくて、礼儀正しく、押し付けがましくないので日本人にとってチェンナイの最適なガイドさんだと思います。 Good Point 約束した時間よりも少し前に到着して連絡をくれました。時間通りなのは日本人にとって安心材料です。 お寺を巡る時もWikipediaやガイドブックにあるような簡単、簡潔な説明はもちろんですが、こちらの歴史に対する理解の深さも考慮して、インターネットで調べられるような知識を超えた内容を説明してくれます。英語もインド訛りがほとんどなく聞き取りやすかったです。ニューデリーやアグラに比べて、チェンナイのホテルでもインド訛りのなさを感じたのでチェンナイの方々は皆そうなのかもしれませんが、一方で自分で拾ったチェンナイのタクシーの運転手の方はめちゃくちゃインド訛りの英語でわからなかったこともありました。いずれにしてもRajeshさんは、聞き取りやすい英語を話します。 ランチも、最初はピザハットなどはどうかと言われましたが、日本でもピザハットは食べられるし、インドの食事がよいとリクエストすると、チェンナイの人にも人気のある（お店にたくさん入店待ちの人が並んでました）南インド料理のお店に連れて行ってくれました。そこで食べ方を教わりながらみようみまねで、手掴みで食べた南インドのカレーは本当に美味しかったです。一生の思い出になりそうです。 残念ながら休館していたミュージアムが一部あったのですが、そこでも、外観だけでもと車を降りて写真をとってくれました。 ツアーを申し込む前までは、自分たちだけでもチェンナイの名所を回れるかなと思っていましたが、それぞれ行った名所ではRajeshさんのガイドがなければ気付かなかかっただろうなと思うエピソードや、素通りしてしまっただろう場所がたくさんあったので、ガイドをお願いして本当に良かったと思います。 車の方も、とても乗り心地がよく、清潔で、冷房も適度に効いていました。チェンナイは暑いのでとても快適でした。 車の中でも次の目的地に着くまでに見えてくる様々な建物も、これはマドラス大学だよとか病院だよなどとたくさん教えてくれました。 Bad point Rajeshさんはノリノリで話しまくる&営業しまくるタイプのガイドさんではないので、そういう押しの強いタイプのガイドさんが好みの場合には合わないかもしれません。 いずれにしてもRajeshさんと運転手さんのおかげでチェンナイ旅行が最高のものになりました。ありがとうございました。 以下、日本語の英語訳です。 As others have written, our guide Rajesh is very kind, polite, and not pushy, so I think he is the perfect guide for Japanese people in Chennai. His English was easy to understand with almost no Indian accent. Compared to New Delhi and Agra, I felt that there was no Indian accent even at the hotel in Chennai, so maybe everyone in Chennai is like that, but on the other hand, the taxi driver I picked up in Chennai had a really strong Indian accent and I couldn't understand him. In any case, Rajesh speaks easy-to-understand English. For lunch, I was initially asked if I wanted to try Pizza Hut, but I told him I could eat Pizza Hut in Japan, and when I requested an Indian meal, they took me to a South Indian restaurant that is popular among Chennai people (there were many people waiting to get in). There, I learned how to eat it, and tried to imitate others, and the South Indian curry I ate with my right hand was really delicious. It will be a memory that I will cherish forever. Unfortunately, some of the museums were closed, but they got out of the car to take photos of the exterior. Before I signed up for the tour, I thought I could see the sights of Chennai on my own, but at each of the sights we visited, there were many stories that I would not have noticed if Rajesh had not been our guide, and many places that I would have passed by, so I am really glad that we asked for a guide. The car was very comfortable, clean, and the air conditioning worked just right. It was very comfortable in Chennai, as it was hot. While driving, he also told me a lot about the various buildings we saw on the way to our next destination, such as "this is Madras University" or "this is a hospital." Bad point Rajesh is not the type of guide who talks a lot and sells things, so if you like pushy guides, this might not be the right choice for you. Great value - Great value. Our guide Rajesh was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. He even diverted off the tour for us to get a suit sizing at a shopping mall. All visits were interesting and you could do them all in your own time frame

Chennai Day Tour - The driver was on time. The tour guide was very professional. We visited lots of historical places. We enjoyed our tour.

Very happy - Had a lovely half day tour of Chennai with a charming young ambitious guide, he changed the itinerary on the hop as I had already visited one the attractions. We finished off with a delicious light lunch and I mustn’t forget the driver who picked me up and dropped me off again, felt very safe in the organised chaos on the roads

Underwhelmed and disappointed. - Our guide didn’t show up until after our first temple so it was left to our driver to do his best to provide the needed commentary. When he did show up, there was little commentary and few interesting stories.
