Worth It - Gabriella was an amazing tour guide! Very informative. Loved that she had laminated pictures with illustrations to show what the ruins would have looked like in their times. It helped myself as I am a creative thinker. Gabriella answered any and all questions. She was funny and personable. If you did not eat at the hotel on the beach you are missing out! Those tacos… chefs kiss! Although we did not get to stay long the beach was nice as well. (Passengers from another ship had to be back earlier than we did) Gabriel(the driver) definitely the strong silent type… LOL . I have a neck injury and the bumpy roads at these port areas tend to leave my neck in pain. With Gabriel’s precision driving that was not the case this time. We got us to each stop safely. Definitely worth it! A 10 out of 10 experience.

Unique experience! - We did our walk with Tucan Tour, excellent travel agency, were in contact with bistro at all times, we had a guide in the pyramids, a driver who made transfers, lunch included and the beach was dreamed! Spectacular.

Recommend!! - Was a little hard to get out of the shops but once we were in the parking lot we were able to locate Edwin right away!! The check in was very fast and we met with our tour guide Gabby. She was very funny and engaging and educated us on Mayan history and culture. The walk through the ruins was easy but we chose not to climb the ruins because our joints click!! 🤣🤣 We had lunch included and ate at the beach restaurant. The food and drink were good. Overall good experience but plan on spending at least 6 hours on this tour!

Amazing trip to Mayan ruins and the beach - we booked the Toucan tours via Viator…A very Well planned tour.. waited a short while before we got the air conditioned vehicle pull up to take us to the Mayan Ruins.. the tour guide provided good background on the historic site before we reached.. On reaching he mentioned the dos and donts and quickly got us our tickets The walk was around an hour or so.. the area is pretty shaded so a light sun screen or a hat will do..also good to use tick spray or mosquito repellent in case you want to.. since there are quite a few in this area where there are many trees.. There are three temples- one dedicated to Venus, Moon and one to Sun here! Loved the stories around them.. also he showed us some of the trees that were specific to this region.,especially the Tree of Life.. From there we went to the bus to the beach of Mahahaul.. the small restaurant they stopped was next to the beach .. served a mean guacamole and Nachos.. this was the best guacamole that I ever had perhaps.. overall an informative trip with great tour guide with lots of stories

Mayans - Know where you are going when you get off the boat. It’s a long walk to the meeting point. Tour of the ruins ran long which shortened the beach time. Food was very good, but limited to two drinks.

Good, but some quirks - It was pretty easy to get to the stand and they were quick to offer bottles of water as the temp was sweltering. The bus trip to the ruins was fine with the driver pointing out a few sites. The guide at the ruins was knowledgeable, but the kids were disappointed they only got to climb one set of ruins at the end of the tour. The fruit stop on the way back was a welcome surprise, but they brought the fruit on to the bus and it kept running out before it made it toward the back. In the end not everyone was able to get as much as they wanted, but I think everyone got something. The restaurant was cute and quick and the view was great. The meal was super rushed because multiple cruise lines were mixed and some folks needed to be back sooner than others, but we all were able to get food but not much beach time. You could purchase food at the ruins, which you should do if you want to have some beach time at the end.
