Highlights
  • NexusTours - Mayan Adventure offers an activity that will spotlight three different Mayan underwater ecosystems; amazing wonders of the natural world where you will have the opportunity to get a complete snorkel experience.

Your bilingual guide will explain the history of the surrounding areas while you get familiarized with your snorkeling gear before diving into the ocean to explore the reefs teeming with tropical fish.

Then, make your way through the jungle to swim in a fresh-water river full of caves, stalactites and stalagmites tailor-made by nature for adventurers, just like you.

Chicken Itza and Ik Kil Senote. Good experience with nexus. - Went on excursion to Chichen Itza and Ik Kil Cenote. Big mega bus with AC. Was awesome. Worth every penny. Some water bottles included. Booked with nexus tour with Protacio Tun connected to Royalton Splash Hotel. Initially had a hiccup in the morning going to a different senote but Protacio was able to work his magic and rebooked to the proper excursion to include Ik Kil senote via a private van to catch up with the mega bus with Ekinox tour. The tour guide Ricardo was knowledgeable. Made the whole experience to Chicken Itza much better than I expected due to the detail explanations. Buffet lunch was provided at a Mayan village. Ik Kil senote was beyond amazing and spectacular. Trip started at 7-8am and return to hotel at 10pm. Fun long trip but comfortable in large mega bus.

Chitzen Itza, Cenote, and traditional Mexican restaurant - We did the Chichen Itza tour from Cancun, with a stop at a traditional Mexican restaurant and a centre. The guides were amazing! Service on the bus, and guided tour were perfect. One person out of the group had eggs at the restaurant, and got dysentery, otherwise an absolutely fabulous trip! Kudos to Conrado, Gil, Marin, and Patricia!

Fantastic Tour through Ekinox!! - Went on an expedition to Chichen Itza, a Mayan Community if handicrafters, and the Ik Kil Cenote. It was fabulous and so rich with experiences and opportunities to learn about the Mayan culture. There was also a visit to Villadolid at the end, which felt a bit unnecessary, given how full the day was already, but interesting nonetheless. Highly recommend our guides Ricardo, and Jesus for how efficiently and knowledgeably they handled everything, too.

Beautiful site bad guide - I have to start by saying that the place is all that I expected and more. Chichen ItzĂ¡ is beautiful, the cenote was breathtaking and the food in general was great. However we spent 2 hours collecting people plus a 2 hour ride to the site. The driver was great and it was a smooth ride. However the extra time spent collecting people too the time away from our trip, so we had less than 25 minutes to take pictures in Chichen ItzĂ¡ and only an hour at the cenote. Considering we had to make a line to get in the water and change before and after it left us like 20 minutes to enjoy the experience. The guide kept telling us that they would leave if we were not back on time and we would have to pay for the taxi. Additionally he scared everyone from buying souvenirs on site and only the place he took us to was “the real deal “ needless to say everything there was extremely overpriced. We were all for buying and helping the local community but not at the expense of our free will. I want to add that the guide didn’t even finish his walk with us. The last 25 minutes he sent us on our own with a general explanation. We saw other guides really taking the time with their tour.
