Highly recommend - This day trip was truly an incredible experience. The locations we visited were pure paradise. Our tour guide was great and the customer service over the phone were lifesavers helping us when we initially missed our bus pick-up.

Great trip to Holbox and surrounding islands... - We booked the Ekinox Holbox tour for four people through Trip Advisor and it really was a great day out. A long day though, being collected from our Playa Mujeres hotel at 7am and returning around 9pm - but absolutely worth it. Noa was a brilliant guide from the off, his english was perfect and he was super funny and informative. Francisco and Maria the other two guides we really helpful and lovely too. We went to 2 islands before Holbox where you saw so much wildlife (including wild Flamingo's and eagles) and then 2.5 hrs on Holbox. This wasn't enough time really as the island of Holbox is total paradise.... Maybe plan a couple of nights stay on this island as it has so much to offer... The last island was the Yalahau Cenote (more open than the ones on the main land) in a mangrove area and it was a refreshing fresh water dip before we headed back to the main land. The 8 man boat you travel round in is basic - but ideal for the bombing around on the sea all day. They provide a nice lunch on board and drinks all day too. You're collected in small AC vans fro your hotel and then transferred to a larger coach to take you to the port to board your small boat for the day. I would say each way was around 2.5 hrs on the large coach. The 4 of us had a great day and we would all highly recommend this trip to Holbox....

Fantastic Holbox day! - My first time in Holbox and it was absolutely incredible! What an experience, the water and sights were amazing. Chepe our guide was knowledgeable and excellent. Our tour bus driver was the best. We had lunch, got to explore different islands and then walked around Holbox. I highly recommend this tour and a must visit.

Sheer paradise - The crystal clear water was stunning. The guide we had was excellent. A great family day out whether it be with big kids or little ones.

Sand Bars and More! - Toured with my adult children. We had a great time! Jose was our tour guide and we were very few English speaking but he translated all. The bus ride was great. USB chargers that worked on the bus plus bathroom. Everything was timely and explained. The first two stops were beautiful sand bars, then a beach club stop with a tour and free time and lastly a fresh water lagoon which was perfect way to end the day. Lunch on the boat was very good! Drinks included as well. Water on bus would be a plus. Bring your own water and snacks as none provided. Left at 8am return 8pm. Great way to spend the day and really worth the money!!

Blue waters, great boat rides - This is a lot of time on a bus if coming from Rivera Maya We did see a crocodile though so that was a bonus. The rest of the day was amazing. Blue waters, great boat rides. On Holbox we hired a buggy which was an experience and great fun.

Beautiful islands, limited wildlife, limited tour in English - Islands are beautiful. Food and drinks were great. I love boats and was excited to go between islands on rides. Lagoon with its fresh water was simply the cherry on the top of the cake. The most annoying part was that I booked an English tour. 95% of the time the guide spoke in Spanish only. His microphone wasn’t working and me and my son sat in the back and couldn’t hear a thing. We constantly struggled to understand what what we need to do and when to leave, when to be back, limited information in English about the islands. It was very stressful. And the at the end while napping our driver breaked during the drive so hard that I fell from my seat and had a bloody scratch on my tummy. We didn’t see much wild life an no flamingos. Didn’t had my expectations high and wasn’t disappointed.

Buy one thing , get another - Besides Mexico's famous "surcharges" , this excursion was a "bait n switch". Was told by tour guide that we'd get a lunch on Holbox Island. Lunch made by local business. Then partway through the tour we're told a big story that the Holbox was "too busy" , and they had to have food brought locally. Then we were fed a box lunch on the Dinghyboat , with 1 beer. Tour price plus the fees attached, not worth it. Buyer beware.
