Fun Day Trip - We were the first to be picked up at 7:15 AM. There were 4 other stops to make on the way for pickups (not too bad in my opinion). This made the total journey time ~ 3 hours. Once at Tulum, Jerry did a fantastic job telling us what to watch out for as we made our way through the hectic surroundings. Inside, he gave a very informative presentation for ~ 45 minutes and then we got ~ 45 minutes to explore on our own. Following this, we went back by the entrance where there is a taco stand and all had lunch. The fish tacos here were the best I have ever had. Following lunch, we all got back on the shuttle and took a short ride over to the Cenote. The tour was worth it for the Cenote alone. Beautiful setting and perfect waters for taking a swim after walking around Tulum for a few hours. We got ~ 1 hour at the Cenote and then boarded the bus again. We got back to our hotel ~ 4:30. This is definitely a full day excursion. Yes, there is a lot of time in the shuttle. I saw the direct pickup at the hotel as a convenience as opposed to having to meet somewhere and then get picked up. At this price point, I don't think you will find anything else that is offering a "quicker" trip to Tulum that includes pickup right at your front door. Overall, I enjoyed the trip quite a bit (probably not great for my 5 and 7 year old though with all of the waiting and heat).

Great Cultural History and Experience - Omar was an amazing tour guide. He gave a great history lesson on the Mayan Ruins as well as went over all rules and restrictions of the area and what to expect. He did the same with our Cenote visit and made it as smooth and enjoyable as it could be! Our van developed a huge oil leak on the way back from Tulum to Cancun. We had to wait approximately an hour for a replacement van. Omar was great at handling the situation and communicating the situation at hand while waiting.

Ask for Jerry - I loved our excursion. Jerry was very knowledgeable and very personable. I can tell he enjoys interacting with the group and he did an amazing job of teaching us about the Mayan culture. The cenote was beautiful. 10/10 would recommend and special shout out to Rene!

Fun day in Tulum - Mari was great tour guide. She was very informative and a joy to be around. My only recommendation on the whole experience would be to try to plan out the resorts other people were staying at closer together. One family was picked up at 7 15 while our pick up time was 9 15. I understand having to fill the bus load. But seemed little too far apart. Other than that the expierence was great and learned alot :)

Overall good but long wait. - Jerry our guide was very sweet and gave us quite a lot of information. You could tell he liked chatting with us and was passionate about the area. I did have to wait 45mn at my pick up point and comms around this were very unclear. First I was told there was an accident on the road, then that some ppl ‘had been lost’. It would have been great to be kept updated so I could stay in my hotel instead of standing out there for nothing.

Small tour that could be better - We booked this tour and realized there is another tour that includes Coba ruins and Playa De Carmen priced almost the same. Please install WhatsApp on your phones that way communication becomes easier used by tour operators. We were contacted a day before on WhatsApp and via an email to be ready by 7:25 AM. As soon as I came out of hotel in downtown Cancun, the pickup van was ready 5 minutes before given time. The tour operator than took us to various hotels to pickup remaining passengers. The van was sufficient for 15 people or less and didn’t had any bathroom on board, but the tour guide Sylvester told us that he can stop if given pre-intimation. The tour includes the admission cost but does not include the conservation fees that is $23 or 340 pesos. Better to pay in pesos as you’ll save some. There is a walk of about 0.5 miles before we reach the entrance to ruin so be prepared for that walk both ways. Our tour guide was good with history and explained well but he was heavy on accent, but manageable for me. We took some good photos as Tulum is right on the beach. As we were busy taking photos the tour guide left us and we didn’t realize where he went. We called the tour operator and any other number we could find but still were not able to reach him. Ultimately we decided to go back to place where we parked. Later we ate at Subway as there are very few options over there to eat. After finishing our lunch we went to Cenote Tulum Casa Tortuga. The entrance fees was included. This cenote has multiple cenotes in it and is really easier for family to enjoy in water. Life jacket should be worn but most of the people were not wearing them. Since I didn’t swim so I didn't needed it. This cenote was better because we could go near water without wearing swim costumes and dip our foot in it. There are multiple shops for purchasing item and food. There was tequila tasting included in the tour and I tried few. The return took same route and since we boarded from downtown Cancun we were the last one to be dropped off. We were back in hotel by 6:00 PM. The only thing I didn’t like about this tour was that it covered only Tulum when Coba can also be covered in the same day. Food was not included. Secondly the tour guide left us during Tulum ruins.
