Elizabeth was SUPER helpful! - Excursion was amazing! Elizabeth, who booked our trip at the Royalton splash was super helpful in explaining how the trip worked, timing, what we needed to bring, and what to expect. The trip itself was super organized and packed full of fun! 10/10 would go again!

Gimme all excursion - My husband and I absolutely loved every part of this excursion. Cheeno was our tour guide and he made us feel so safe and made the entire day so much fun. The entire staff are happy, lively and ensure your day is nothing short of perfect. Everything you do here is an adrenaline rush and such a great experience. If you’re thinking about going to Selvatica- just do it

Nice sites, but poor guide and van in ill repair particularly for the price of the tour. - Date of excursion 27 December 2023 Group of 10 (7 adults + 3 children) Although the cenotes and lagoon were beautiful, overall we had a disappointing experience due to our disinterested and lack of safety focus from our guide Alejandro. Pickup at our hotel was punctual, but Alejandro exuded apathy from the beginning. The van's (#22) rear suspension needed new shocks, which made our full van (12 guests + driver) ride extremely uncomfortable on Q. Roo's rough, potholed roads. I'm used to fast and "efficient" driving in developing countries, however Alejandro's driving was reckless. He weaved in and out of traffic on the highway, our loaded, unsprung Hi-Ace was the fastest vehicle on the road. Definitely unacceptable for the serious responsibility of driving 12 guests. Overall we spent ~2.5 hr in the van. Once at the cenote, Alejandro's directions in English were brief and spoken very quickly. I pulled him aside and explained (in Spanish) that our group were all French-Canadians. Most of them don't speak English so I offered to translate if he could speak more slowly so I could communicate all the info. Despite this, he made zero changes and continued to speak very quickly in English. Therefore most of the group didn't understand his directions, then he'd be frustrated because they weren't doing things correctly. As we had three young children, I was concerned about the safety items that weren't properly conveyed. He rushed us through the attractions, and explained very little of the natural and cultural history despite our questions. We understand that it was the busy Xmas week, however we could hear the other guides doing a much better job. Most of what we learned about the sites we picked up from listening to the other guides, not ours. The lunch was good, and the equipment in good condition although NB they didn't supply us snorkels, only masks. We run a certified, professional tour company, so are very familiar with the challenges in operating group tours. Based on our experience, I'd hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone particularly at its high price point.
