This Sunset cruise was... - This Sunset cruise was the highlight of our trip to Cancun. We didn’t realize when we booked this experience that it was the evening of the “Blood Moon” It was a perfect evening to enjoy this once in a lifetime event. Special thanks to Arturo and the whole crew. They kept us entertained and the drinks flowing. The food was good too.

Recommend - Value worth the experience. Surprised by the fantastic charcuterie board provided as appetizer. Good two hour execution. I would have preferred a more private, less crowded boat, but that is on me for my selection. Overall, would recommend.

So beautiful, so peaceful! - This was a beautiful, relaxing way to enjoy a gorgeous Cancun sunset! The boat ride was long for the price and they really take things slow once you get close to Isla Mujeres so you can take in the views. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and when they say open bar they really do mean open bar! We were on boat 16 with guide Sebastian, who made it such a fun trip. If you want to do an excursion while staying at a Cancun resort but don’t want to be gone all day, this is a great, serene option

Good transportation, be wary of Viator increased docking fee - Overall good experience! Transportation was 5 minutes early, no hiccups. Excursion lasted almost exactly 2 hours, beautiful sunset. Drinks watered down but were passable. Food was basic meats, veggies, fruits, very good. Great music selection, lively atmosphere. Boat was “comfortably crowded” - every passenger had a seat, but there were roughly 20-30 on board. Photos were slightly pricey, but crew ended up offering nearly a 55% discount for 7/10 photos quality. Be prepared for increased Viator docking fee - other agencies only need their customers to pay $5, but I had to pay $10 per ticket, so I was lucky to have grabbed an extra $20 on the way out the door. Overall - great option for a short excursion with super friendly crew in a beautiful area.

Skip this experience if you want to go sailing - We were booked for this excursion through our resort, Unico Riveria Maya. From what was advertised, we expected a semi-private, small boat and a cruise in the Caribbean during sunset. What we received, however, was 50 people in the same waiting area, being shuttled down to two huge catamarans, and being split into equal sized groups. Our group started sailing out into the water, which was nice, but after about 30 minutes, we were heading into a cove, where we docked for about 45 minutes. Then we were taken back into the harbor. This was extremely disappointing on several levels. We wanted to sail for the whole evening, that's why we booked a sailing experience. We also felt uncomfortable by the pressure of the crew members to tip and buy more stuff, either at the waiting area and on the boat. We were dropped off in a literal gift shop where we were asked if we wanted to look around, if we wanted things that could have cost money, but was unclear. On the boat, we were asked to tip, which I never find appealing, and a photographer had been taking photos and was charging $60 for them! The whole experience felt very misleading and disappointing on the part of our resort and Cancun Adventures.

Awful experience. Kitchen smelled of feces. - Ok, well to start, the tour described a catamaran sail to a beachside dinner with open bar and a 5 course meal.
Trip there and back was not a “sail” but a crowded motor/ferry ride. I sail and there 100% was enough wind to sail. Very disappointing. Had perfect wind for at least a short sail over. There was no reason to motor all the way.
Cocktails over to the destination were not open bar as advertised. It was a terrible punch that no one I saw finished.
Beachside dining was under a tent outside of what seemed to be an almost completely abandoned restaurant. The kitchen and bathrooms smelled of sewage. My wife almost vomited leaving the bathroom near the kitchen. We honestly couldn’t tell which smelled worse. The bathroom of the kitchen. Not very appetizing to say the least.
The so called 5 course meal was super bland, largely beans, soup was liquid, and while I understand 5 course meals are of smaller portions, this was ridiculously small. Everyone was complaining they left hungry. We actually had to get good elsewhere after because we were starving and to wash down what we just had.
This was an almost $300 tour…
I tried to work with customer service. They apologized for the bad experience, but would only give an expiring credit towards another Cancun Adventures tour in the future. Not planning a trip to Cancun again anytime soon, so that’s obviously of no help.
We did two other tours with Cancun Adventures yet they absolutely refused to refund for this one which was a horrible experience. If that’s how their customer service deals with clients, I guess we’ll be taking our business elsewhere next time we decide to visit Cancun.
On another note regarding the other two tours, while they were fine but we spent most of our time driving around in vans, picking up people from other hotels AND staff along the way. One of the drivers for the Cenote tour actually stopped to get himself breakfast on the side of the highway and left us in the van for 20 minutes … didn’t even ask if anyone wanted to get out of the van to get something for themselves. Totally unprofessional.
