Fun Day Last Day in Mexico - This was an awesome experience and the team at DC Explorer did a great job hosting. Juan our host did a fantastic job with Captain Willy. We had a very small group so even got to do extra jumps. Would highly recommend!

Best day ever. - Incredible once in a lifetime opportunity. Our guide Sergio who was so knowledgeable in everything, especially how to keep us and the whale sharks safe. He was brilliant in guiding us to get the best view and even got us another turn as the first couple of whale sharks disappeared quickly. He and the captain were both very friendly and the trip to the beach after for lunch was lovely. It was a wonderful day I will never forget.

Great experience l - Great experience! Fernando & Mosco knew exactly what they were doing and we got to swim with the shark whales. The guides worked hard to respect the animals. On our way back we stopped at Isla Mujeres for a swim and ate some very yummy guacamole & ceviche. Would highly recommend this activity.

Swimming with Whale sharks from Isla Mujeres - This tour was a life highlight for my husband! We were hoping to swim with A whale shark but Captain Willy found so many (100?) They were everywhere! We had such a great time swimming with them and with seeing them on the surface. DC Explorers has been around a long time and they were very careful with the Whale sharks, the snorkelers and with the passengers on the boat. I'm not a very strong swimmer but our guide Fabio helped me and I was able to see several Whale sharks up close, he was great! I would definitely recommend them!! The ride out is about an hour and is kind of rough so keep that in mind.

Whalesharks for her birthday - Took my wife swimming with whale sharks as part of her birthday trip and it did not disappoint. Sergio was our guide and he was absolutely incredible. DC Explorer has this experience figured out. From getting us up close and personal with the whale sharks, to feeding us amazing ceviche on playa norte and taking photos all along the way. I can't recommend them enough and two big thumbs up for Sergio!

Unforgettable experience - Such a perfect trip! All four of us got to swim with the whale sharks 3 times each !! Our boat was one of the first boats to find them, and it was tranquil and not too busy. So majestic! What an amazing experience swimming with them. Afterwards we had sandwiches and some awesome fresh ceviche and extra time to swim. Sergio and Javier were awesome—highly recommend. (And yes, the go pro photos and video purchase was expensive and we never buy those usually but it was so worth it. Some amazing footage of our kids swimming with whale sharks! ) Unforgettable experience.

Not for me - I didn't enjoy the activity of jumping in on the whale sharks, it's not the peaceful event I imagined at all. You ride an hour out to the sight, then everyone gets 2 jumps. You swim as fast as you can to keep up with the whales, then get back in the boat and go to the back of a line of 100 other boats... hoping the whale will stay surfaced long enough for another group to go. If you care about animals and nature, this probably isn't the trip for you. 3 people in our boat got sea sick and didn't get to jump (2 jumps each) - but even though I paid for their tickets, I didn't get any additional jumps to make up for the 6 lost jumps. Additionally, I didn't enjoy going with this tour group - primarily because our group of 12 was split and kept completely separate. I paid in advance for photos - they had all of us separated by boat for the photos, even when we asked to take a big picture together. When booking, I asked if we'd be able to spend time as a group and was assured we would spend time on the beach together after the whale sharks. Our boat arrived first and we asked the captain to call the second boat so we could all hang out together. The second boat approached, my friends were waving at us and yelling out. Their captain drove past us anyways and anchored on the other side of the beach. It took 30 minutes to walk there. That seemed completely unnecessary. This was an activity I wanted to do with my friends for my birthday. I understand there are capacity limits on a boat, but after asking repeatedly about being able to spend time together, I was very disappointed. Of a 4 day weekend in Playa Mujeres, this day, for me, was wasted and I'd rather have stayed at the resort and spent time with friends and family.

Don’t waste your time! - Waste of trip. False advertising for items not received. Tour guide was late causing us to be late to get to the dive spot and no whale sharks.

Bad experience - I do not recommend this company. They are scammers. I tried to ask them for a fair price for the photos since it is a random photo and they had a very bad reaction. Typical of bad Mexican tourism, trying to take extra money from you in any way. Also, I would not take this tour again because of the great stress it is for the whale shark. The poor whale shark tries to escape from the more than 50 boats that are around trying to jump on him.
