Long day but had a good time - We were picked up at 6:50am and then traveled to multiple hotels to pick up other passengers, passing right by our hotel an hour after we were picked up. We then had to stop at a transfer point to swap people on/off to have Spanish vs non-Spanish buses. In the end, we still had Spanish and non-Spanish speakers on our bus, so our tour guide had to say everything twice. This was exhausting for us at times, especially when he had a lot to say. After the 2+ hour drive, we stopped for lunch. The food was great. Our tour guide talked to us about how bad the mosquitos were and that we needed to buy their special formula of bug repellant for $12. We then needed to apply it every time we got off of the bus. We never noticed any mosquitos (perhaps because we all had repellant on, maybe because they weren't really that bad at all). We stopped applying the bug repellant in the afternoon and still had no issues. We then traveled to Chichen Itza where we were handed off to a local tour guide. He was an interesting guy, but was very scattered in his delivery of historical information. Above all, the souvenir vendors significantly degraded the experience for us. They are everywhere, along every walking route. Looking past a historical temple, trying to see another building, and you can only see vendors. We then traveled to a cenote, which was an amazing experience. We only had about an hour to be there, but it was awesome. We then traveled the 2+ hours back to our hotel. We didn't get back to the hotel until about 8:30pm and were starving after only having lunch (as our first stop of the day). It was also nearly a 14 hour day, which was a little too much of us on a relaxing vacation. Overall, I'd recommend it, but make sure you set the right expectation.

Advertising tour with little time on things of interest. - The tour is very boring. 1 hour pickup waiting for people. Additional charged me 1800 pesos for taxes, i.e. the internet tour marks 1000 per person plus 1800. Total 2800 per person. Then a lot of time in their craft and coffee shops almost 1 30 hr. Later the buffet is of low quality and only give you 30 minutes. From there we already ran to chichen itza and only stayed 2 hours. Then the cenote 40 minutes and at the end valladolid 20. Aaa and they sell you a repellent because of the flies, and I wasn't the victim of a single picket line. Average experience.
