Great tour and amazing staff! - Despite switching Mayan ruin locations due to protesting, we very much enjoyed our time at Ek Balam. Our team Manuel, driver, and Pastor, our tour guide, did a fantastic job. Just ensure you have the pesos to enter the ruins as they do not accept card or USD.

Amazing experience!!! - Let me say that the experience was amazing, tour guides amazing, ride smooth. We chose the highest package as it included everything and drinks. We did not have to worry about anything on site or pay anything else. Now if you choose the cheapest option keep in mind that you have to pay the ticket for Chichen Itza on site, your drinks at the cenote restaurant and you will have to pay for the life vest and lockers on site. When it comes to the tour guides and the attention it was amazing Arthur, Jhonny Cash and Jonathan (our driver) were amazing, informative, attentive, kind, funny overall just amazing. We chose the 5am trip and let me say it was tuff to wake up so early on vacation but so worth it, when we arrived at Chichen Itza it was super empty basically all to ourselves and when we got ready to leave there was a huge crowd coming in. We were a group of around 30-35 people and everything went smoothly. I will honestly say book it, it is sooo worth it and worth the money. Hopefully this was the review you were looking for to book your experience, I will say this is the best tour I been so far. Shuttle and bus are new and cleaning and I believe only the highest package includes transportation to and from your hotel.

Ricardo, Enrique, and... - Ricardo, Enrique, and Juam were absolutely amazing! The flow of the tour was perfect and we got to Chichen Itza when it was too hot. We also enjoyed the lunch served at the Cenote. I would suggest going ahead and getting the all inclusive version to avoid dealing with the random fees during the tour. Highly recommend this tour! I don’t do reviews often but this one was deserving of one.

Decent tour, but too much faff on the sides - The tour is ok. Manuel was a good guide and Alfred the driver was quite fun. But the tour itself was a bit disappointing. We didnt spend that much time in Chichen Itza, which is to me the main part of the tour. The cenote and tequila tasting are useless. Just marketing to get you to spend money. I could have easily done without those. The cenote itself is not that great. There's many cenotes around the region which are much better. The stop in Valladolid was ok. You don't get much time so you just end up walking around the main square, getting a coffee and heading off. Overall, I would had skipped the cenote and tequila tasting for more time at Chichen Itza.

Pressure to give extra money "tips" - The organization of the tour felt very uncomfortable and borderline misleading when it came to money. The pricing structure is not transparent. While the tour description suggests that tips are optional (a tip being a voluntary gratuity given to someone for good service), the reality at the end of the tour was very different. When the bus was quiet and people were resting after a long day, the guide suddenly took the microphone and started strongly encouraging everyone to prepare money because, according to him, he was not paid by the tour company. He asked passengers to give money for both guides and the driver. He then proceeded to walk down the aisle of the bus approaching every single passenger individually to collect payment. He also had a card terminal ready. This created a very uncomfortable situation where it felt more like an enforced payment. I was honestly shocked and felt pressured and taken advantage of. If additional payments are expected, they should be clearly stated upfront in the price so travelers can make an informed decision. Tips should remain optional and never be collected in a way that pressures people. Because of this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this tour despite the tour to Chichen Itza itself was enjoyable. The guides were knowledgeable and did a good job providing historical context and explanations throughout the day, which I appreciated

Do not book with this tour comapany! - We waited for an hour and a half and noone came to pick us up. I emailed Viator but never heard back. This was from Amigo tours. Totally sucked waking up that early and waiting forever while so any other tour busses came and picked people up. Threw a huge wrench into our plans for the week. Just Boo

Horrible experience - After waking up early on vacation for an excursion I was very excited about. My transportation never arrived and stopped communicating with me via the app. The excursion started at 8. They slotted me for an 8:20 am pickup. I was outside waiting with my resorts security team waiting my pickup. After multiple failed communications via the Viator app I called a listed number and essentially they were no help. I’ve seen requested a refund that has yet to be approved.
