Great Day - So much fun! The tour guides were great. We also had Mayan tortillas and learned how to make them. We swam in a beautiful cenote. Chitchen Itza is breath taking. Really great day. It can be very hot and a lot of walking. Make sure you are physically fit and prepared for walking and heat.

Chichen Itza - Booking this excursion was the best decision I’ve made for this trip. This was truly an adventure that I will never forget. Yes the day runs long 12hrs+ but it is truly an experience that you will never forget. Alexis and Ricardo were such fun tour guides and are very knowledgeable in Mayan culture and the history of the places you visit. Chichen Itzá is such a beautiful place with so much history and ruins to see. The cenote was so refreshing and worth it. If you’re thinking about booking this excursion DO IT! It is truly and unforgettable experience.

Authentic tour - The tour is extremely organized and comfortable. The transport is a bus with air conditioners and the guides speak Spanish and English. They will tell you the history of chichen itza with a passion that is difficult to find in any other tour.

Brilliant day at the Chichen Itza!!! - This tour was brilliant! The transfer was efficient, the buffet lunch was nice (although drinks not included) and we were given sufficient time at each location to sightsee/browse souvenirs. The Chichen Itza site is fascinating and quite large so ensure you wear comfortable shoes (it’s also very dusty and some of the ground is uneven). The city of Valladolid is very pretty and had a little market where you could buy souvenirs and snacks. You don’t get long here but it’s plenty of time to explore the square and take pictures. My favourite part of the tour was the cenote. We decided to visit the Cenote Selva Maya and it was stunning! The Hacienda it’s situated in is very picturesque and the facilities are good. Staff are very friendly and it’s very clean. The cenote itself was amazing and so much fun to swim in (they also had a platform to jump in which is a must do!). Our guides Orlando and Tony were so friendly and knowledgable. It was inspiring to hear them speak of their Mayan background and they were both really engaging. The Chichen Itza is a must-see and swimming in the cenote was a tick off of the bucket list. All in all, we had the best day and I would 100% recommend this tour!!!

Thank you Carlos and his team for an amazing experience! - Booked though TripAdvisor, but actually operated by 8th Wonder Tour. Carlos, our main tour guide was awesome. Really funny and entertaining, and also gave very important information very clearly. I recommended paying attention to everything he says! The walking tour around Chichen Itza with "The Professor" was also awesome and he told us a lot of great stories about the Mayan history. We only had two hours to explore the site, and we felt it was barely enough time to see everything, and I wish we had maybe another 30 minutes to just absorb in all the sights. This has nothing to do with the tour, but main con is there are many loud and aggressive vendors at the site. Carlos again did a good job educating us about this. The Cenote was also really really great and fun follow up to Chichen Itza, especially on a really hot sunny day. The was so clean and drinkable! Closed off the tour in Valladolid in the main square/plaza which was also fun. Very pretty area. It was a 12 hour long tour, but it was well worth the time and I highly recommend it! The whole team was super organized and kept us on time and efficient, and its clear they put a lot of thought and effort into this and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you!

Very Good Experience - Overall the trip was very good. Chichen-Itza was incredible! The tour guides were very knowledgeable. The driver got us there and back to our hotel in good time. Our only complaints were the cenote and the restaurant were falsely advertised. We never went to Ik-Kil cenote, they took us to the Selva Maya cenote, which was no big deal. Also when we booked this tour were were under the impression we were having lunch at the Selva restaurant. That never happened, we ended up at a different restaurant. That was disappointing. The lunch was ok at the other restaurant but filling. Viator needs to clarify this for future customers.

An amazing experience overall, just know what to expect. - This was a whirlwind tour. Pros: it was amazing to see so many things in 1 day. Chichen Itza and the explanation of the pyramid were awesome. The Ik Kil Cenote was beautiful, calm, and a unique experience everyone should have. The buffet lunch was delicious! One of the best meals I had on our vacation. The tour of the Mayan village, Kaua, was interesting and the area was so peaceful and the people very kind! Valladolid was ok, but didn't add to the overall experience. Cons: the seat in front of my husband was broken for the first leg of the trip so the weight of the man sitting there rested on his legs. (this was rectified for the second leg, but only after the guide did his presentation using the seats up front. Not a deal breaker, just a moment of frustration.) We could have spent a full day just at Chichen Itza walking around all of the ruins and getting a description and viewing everything we possibly could. But THIS tour included so many things, that this part felt rushed and focused only the few major ruins. There were lots of others in the area & we wanted to go explore more. We did get some good pictures and it was crazy hot so it's understandable to beat the crowds and get out. We would potentially take another separate Chichen Itza tour in the future and another Cenote/ mayan village tour now that we know. Also, we bought the Mayan horoscopes for our kids thinking it would be fun... but they were a little too dark. Telling a 10 year old who already feels like nobody likes him that he will never feel like he belongs anywhere will potentially eat at him and reinforce this poor perception of himself. We would not do this addition again in retrospect.

Too long too much sales pitch - Way too long and too much sales pitch. We got picked up at hotel by van at 7:40am. Stopped at 2 other hotels then went to a hotel and waited about 30-45 minutes for bus to show up. No explanation of what was going on etc. finally left and during tide was total sales pitch about not buying from vendors in Chichen Itza but buy from Mayan village. Spanish speakers didn’t get sales pitch but info on history etc. had people fill out papers for your birthday so they could write them in Mayan but didn’t tell you how much they were going to charge you until you got to Mayan lunch. At lunch too much time trying to get you buy things. Ran so late we were at Cenote with hardly any sun for photos and could only swim short time. Went to Vallodid town in complete darkness so no photos there. Got back to hotel after 9:30pm. Thought it was going to be around 7pm like it was a few years ago with other company. People missed dinner reservations. 14 hours was toooo long! Especially when we only got 2 bottles of water! Also just because we had a stroller we were divided and sent with people with walkers, canes etc so missed a lot of cool things.
