Cancun sailing fun - When we were on the boat they had such a friendly environment and it was super fun to be around the crew! I went snorkeling and it was a blast!! The food on the boat for lunch was amazing! On the island there was not too much to do so we drove around in a golf cart around the island. There was lots of shopping on the island but, we didn’t do to much shopping. On the way back it was very rough and bumpy everyone got wet but, they did warn us so it wasn’t out of the blue. They played music on the way back which helped the mood and everyone had a blast and the crew joined in on the fun!! I would recommend traveling with the Cancún sailings because it is family friendly and just and amazing environment!!

Frustrating start but fun trip - Overall trip was great. Would have received 4 but checking in process was a chaotic mess I was in a group of 5 ppl. 3 of us booked the trip the day before On arrival they have you fill out a waiver for entire party. You than what to go in to pay dock fees and get your snorkel. I had my reservation confirmation. They were unable to locate my reservation. They were able to.find the other 2. Since they couldn't find the reservation they could not guarantee space on the boat. My friends who had checked in were moved to the last leaving catamaran hoping we would.get seats. They had me wait outside for 20+ min.right before boat was set to disembark they found 2 spots and escorted us to the boat. The trip was fun. Snorkeling was a underwhelming. The area you snorkel is very crowded with other boats/tours. You are not really allowed to explore. You swim pretty much in a line. The lunch at the island was good and the beach was amazing. Had an option to explore the island but we hanged out in the water on the beach. Photographers on board were great even if they do photoshop the pictures!

Not good - Really disappointed with the tour operator Cancún Sailing, which is not a reflection of Viator or the boat crew, which were very good and provided excellent service. At check-in, we were offered a VIP upgrade package for an extra US$60 per person which we took. What a rip off! They made it sound like an exclusive high end tour. It was exactly the same as what we had bought, except in a smaller boat. The snorkeling was at the same place as all the other tours, extremely crowded and very short. Buffet lunch was at a Punta Blanca Restaurante with other tours as well and it was very poor. Beach Club access was just that, access, as it did not include chairs, umbrellas, food, drinks, or anything else. In their defense, they did explain that chairs and food were not included in the price but we were expecting at least a palapa or palm tree to sit in the shade. Don't fall for this sales tactic as we did. Do your research and pick a good tour operator.

It’s a glamorized boat ride - Trip is entirely too drawn out. We upgraded once we got there so we wouldn’t be packed on the original boat like sardines. In addition to less people, their upgrade pitch included a “private beach” experience and more shade on your boat. We never stopped at a private beach and only a small portion of the boat was shaded. The large catamarans with 50-60 actually looked like there was more opportunity for shade than what we had. Other than less people, the upgrade was not worth it. We booked the trip to snorkel, but it felt like a rushed afterthought of the trip. We only got about 20 min to “snorkel” surrounded by every other boat/person currently on snorkeling trips in the gulf. The rest of the trip was basically a boat ride, with a few stops that just felt unnecessary. The crew was awesome, but the trip was not as expected. Our Cancun trip so far has been amazing but this is one thing we wish we didn’t do.

Awful Experience - The Amazon 2 Catamaran. Never actually sailed, super noisy with pounding club beats non stop on the catamaran.Snorkeled for about 15 minutes with 300 people on a combined 4-5 boats. Buffet was garbage, drinks are terrible. Beach at Isla Mujares was not good, packed with people in waist deep water probably relieving themselves. Insane number of aggressive vendors. Best part was small cafe off dock with cold beer, excellent ceviche and live traditional-modern blend of Latin music. Otherwise, shop carefully for this type of advertised experience, we were duped and should have been more cautious choosing.
