A Wonderful Time with a Wonderful Guide - Kozee was a wonderful guide. He was genuinely interested in sharing his country with us and answered all questions with knowledge. He was very flexible and tailored our day to fit our interests and needs. He had some great suggestions. Kozee was extremely knowledgeable about not only the history of Japan but the current economic and geopolitical conditions as well. We learned so much about the country. We would highly recommend using this wonderful man as your guide.

Great Way to See Real Tokyo - We had the pleasure of having Teizo guide us on the Off The Beaten Path tour of Tokyo. First off, Teizo was very responsive in communicating with us prior to our tour and rearranged the sites so we could visit Asakusa Temple before it closed. Teizo has a wealth of information and happily answered all our questions. He made sure we were comfortable during our six hour tour. Teizo is a wonderful representative of Japan and its culture. Thank you Teizo, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with you.

Neighborhood Wandering - We have been in Tokyo several times for work and also as tourists so we had seen most of the major attractions. What we hoped to do is to discover some neighborhoods outside the usual tourist areas, where locals live, eat and shop. We enjoyed our guide's choices and also the hidden restaurant where we had a lovely lunch. It was a cold and dreary day so we didn't spend as much time in the parks as I had hoped to, but we did get to see some smaller parks and plan to return when the weather improves.

Izumi is the best! Book him as your Off the Beaten Path Tour guide - This is a great way to spend the day! As first time Tokyo visitors, our wonderful guide Izumi thoughtfully showed us how to use the complicated (yet intuitive!) metro system, as well as fun things to in the different cities. He was truly a wealth of knowledge about this city and Japanese history, and took us on an amazing tour that avoided crowds and chaos to see the hidden gems. The highlights were the temple, shrines and the Rikugien Gardens Ask for Izumi when booking your guide!

Fantastic off beaten path experience - We had excellent experience on this tour and our guide Izumi. We visited three areas and five destination total. In Monzen-nakacho area we visited Tomioka Hachiman Shrine and Fukagawa Fudou-dō temple. In Nezu area we visited Nezu Shrine and Yanaka Ginza. In Komagome area we visited beautiful Rikugien Gardens. We wouldn't have known to have gone to those places without the your and our fantastic guide. This itinerary was quite enough for us as we were getting tired by the end of the 5th spot, so 5 destinations over 6 hours is quite enough. Izumi is knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and all the areas visited. Because we are getting another tour that involves Tsukiji market, we asked Izumi to modify itinerary to accommodate that and he was happy to do that. I highly recommend this tour and Izumi as a guide.

Great Tour of Tokyo - Our experience with our guide Yoshi San was great. He was very knowledgeable about the city and the attractions we visited, along with being super helpful with tips about navigating the subway system. He went above and beyond to ensure we got to experience everything we wanted to do. Was also prepared with guidebooks to provide us and subway map. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Tokyo.

Great tour! - Tour guide Fumiko was very personable and knowledgeable. She covered a lot of sight seeing in the time we spent with her. She was conscientious about keeping track of everyone in our group of 8.

Poor experience Off the Beaten Path in Tokyo - Off the Beaten Path meant a short walk through a north Tokyo residential area with some small temples; not very impressive or interesting. Kei’s English is as mediocre as his guiding skills (certainly not the level one would expect from an individual who studied at a Master’s level in Oxford?). He offered very little regarding art, architecture, history, food and culture. We hate to give anyone a poor review but we feel that we were taken advantage of and we want to warn other visitors to Tokyo.
