Jimena, the tour guide... - Jimena, the tour guide was incredible, before this tour I didn’t know much about the history of Argentina. Thanks to her that at the end of the tour learned a lot.

Recoleta great area & the cemetery is interesting it’s like artwork ! - Was surprised how much I enjoyed this tour of very ornamental graves very embellished graves etc or mini churches even. The tour guide (lovely lady) explain stories connected to the graves with good detail and some humour. I like the Argentina "Nostradamus" story! Also the misogynistic husband who got rid of his wife to the country for spending money and made her life more miserable; was a funny story as the grave stones are a bit of a "revenge" to show the great big man the misogynistic husband under the roof and the wife pushed more out to the side etc. it tells the story of their obviously toxic marriage. The brutal police who was bombed for doing so much police brutality his grave is explained too. Falcon somebody got revenge on his abuse of power. Of course the much loved Evita family crypt is there too the only grave I could see with flowers on. The most visited of all of the cemetery. It's actually difficult to take photos as everything is so close together and not much space between graves etc.

An unexpected highlight of BA - Jimena was just awesome- a passionate story teller, she kept our group spellbound with tales of woe and humour and the perverse. This tour way exceeded my ”doubting Thomas” expectations and became a favorite of the activities we had in our week in BA. No spoilers but you will laugh and you will be amazed at the stranger-than-fiction stories. Great job. 👍

Recoleta Cemetery, Better with a Guide - The Recoleta Cemetery is a "must-see" and a fascinating way to learn about the history of Argentina. Our guide, Jimena, was very knowledgeable and a good storyteller. Although the memorials are interesting to see, a guide is absolutely necessary in order to gain a full understanding of the symbolism and historical relevance.

Good Tour, recommended. - Only thing I'd advise is make sure you've bought your ticket before turning up. I made a late booking and just managed to get my ticket before the tour start - the online process was quite drawn out. You can buy online or onsite at the ticket office, just do it in time so you're not holding up the rest of the tour. The tour was excellent, the cemetery is well worth a visit. Our guide was Jimena and she is clearly an expert on the cemetery. Good stories and well told!
