Borovets, the most ancient winter resort of Bulgaria, provides superior conditions for ski touring. This thrilling winter sport grants the ability to ski on ungroomed and groomed trails, reducing the dependency on ski lifts. The defining feature of touring skis is their versatility- they are designed to manage both descending downhill and ascending uphill. Descending downhill is akin to alpine skiing. During ascents, special ‘skins’ are fixed to the ski’s underside to stop backslide.
